Underwood just saw his future earnings tank by $30 mil rookie contract, 9 figures in NFL

Joining a program that throws the ball 18 times a game, with no known head coach, and basically no WR talent.
They will continue to not pass, continue to lose because no other player really wants to go there with no known head coach, and have subpar WR talent. Michigan is an average recruiting ground state. They were only good before last year because Harbaugh is a world renown head coach. They won't come close to anything like him next move.
Can't remember last time a Michigan WR was drafted or at least top 3 rounds. He basically took $1 mil more per year now, to only suffer a $30 mil+ less rookie contract. Maybe even forgo $100 mil over career with this move.
Imagine forgoing 9 figures for $1 more mil per year now. I may sound dramatic, but I really don't think I am. I think this is really how it will play out.

This is cope. Stop it. We were promised that we'd match any offer. Turns we really weren't offering anything close to what everyone, and I mean everyone, said we were. Again, stop it.

Eh. Latest rumors are 2.5 million a year at Michigan, and 1.5 million a year at LSU. So Underwood will get 3-4 million more at Michigan. That’s chump change for valuable NFL draft picks.
Underwood can still kill it at Michigan, but LSU was a much better situation for his future.

Well this still sucks to do this to LSU so late. And it's not like they weren't taking care of him.
I hope Michigan continues to suck moving forward.

Pure sour grapes. I get you’re rooting against the guy but this reaks of all the posters who said “Saban will never win anything at Bama” when he took the job.
Underwood is one of the best HS prospects in the last decade, he’s going to elite at Michigan.

I wouldn’t go that far as forecasting his eliteness at Michigan. Nobody knows. Let’s just stop this cope and move on. Please.

Yeah, it's a super bummer but we have to move on.
Whether the dude was running a game or did some soul searching and decided to stay home, who knows and who cares now because he won't be coming here.
The lateness of this decision is really unhelpful though, to be sure.

$10, invested wisely, can set the guy up pretty nicely

Stupid take, JJ McCarthy was picked 10th. Barely throwing the ball didn’t affect his draft stock.

Do you really think they will have the same offense when he gets there? frick no. Most idiotic argument on here.

Lol. Michigan just won a NC and Mccarthy was drfated top 10...They have a bigger fan base and better facilities than LSU and the most wins of any program all time..
I'm far from a UM fan. But yall are acting like we just lost him to Georgia Tech running the triple option

If I were him, I’d play my 4 years at UM and would never be seen or heard from again. Kicking it on a Caribbean Island somewhere for the rest of my days.

Generational talent is generational talent.
He will succeed no matter where he goes.
And that’s what hurts so much. He was a lock to be a dog.

JJ McCarthy didn't do too bad in the draft.

JJ McCarthy 10th overall pick in draft.

Eh I mean not really. The report last week said that they offered $10.5 and we didn’t even come close to matching that. Why would we be able to match the $12 million?

If he’s a good QB it won’t matter where he goes to school as much as some of you think. Some of you are crazy.

You’re 100% correct.
As long as he looks competent throwing the ball and looks good in workouts, three years after he signs he’ll still likely be a top pick, with several million $$ in the bank.
