SAMSUNG 34" ViewFinity S50GC Series Ultrawide QHD Monitor, 100Hz, 5ms, HDR10, AMD FreeSync, Eye Care, Borderless Design, PIP, PBP, LS34C50DGANXZA, 2023, Black

Any thoughts? I'm looking to replace 2 smaller monitors to free up some desk space.

Thats the exact monitor I have for my home setup. I do drone videography/ photography/ inspections as a side gig and it has been awesome. Especially for THAT price. I paid the $350 for mine and would do it again. That $200 price point is a no brainer.

I can’t speak to that monitor, but I love my ultrawide as a replacement to two traditional monitors.

As someone who has had a 34" UW for years now, I would prefer at least a slight curve to it, but other than that, looks good.

Aha. Good catch. I thought it was curved.

It’s genuinely not the end of the world, especially at that price. And some people prefer flat, especially if they do intricate digital artwork/design. But it’s something weird with the human eye. When I sit in front of a flat UW, it almost seems to me like the screen curves backwards while a curved screen seems flat.

There's also very few monitors that size where the stand isn't using the VESA mount. You can free a lot of disk space by mounting a NUC there.

Mostly unrelated question, but what the frick is that white (presumably Ethernet) cable running to?

Is the router mounted behind the monitor on the wall?

If I remember correctly, there's an outlet behind the monitor. That's a power strip plugged into that outlet.

I worked for a Korean manufacturer. They overstated everything. Not surprised.

Did you end up purcasing the 34" Samsung?

I see a 27" ViewFinity S8 4K (S80D) for sale for $230. The one you posted was ultrawide but do you have an opinion between the 2 for similar price?

TIA
