How to Train Your Dragon is our favorite animated movie. Why are they making a live action? I wish they would have changed the dragons a little bit but they look identical.

Toothless looks great.
I know some people will bemoan the casting choices but if they can deliver a pretty faithful storyline with that kind of animation i should be really good.
i wouldn’t want Toothless to look any different.
they just popped the texture which is fine.

HTTYD was the first movie I took my youngest to see in the theater, so it has a special place in my heart. I'm sure we would go see this too, just for the spectacle.

I had a feeling that was coming even before I saw the trailer. Hollywood just can't help themselves. They will ride or die with DEI.
The original was perfect as is and doesn't deserve a bastardized "live action" remake.

no it makes perfect sense.
Dragons can look however, so why not have the character shown up looking like the character but with slightly more textured skin and stuff.
If he wasn’t recognizable the same dragon I wiuldnfind that disappointing.

Not sure what I was expecting...but live-action humans interacting with cartoon dragons wasn't it.

If they want to represented in media, they should make their own stories. Not replace White people (specifically roles that otherwise would have gone to girls / women much prettier than what we got). Sorry if mean words offend you.
