I was arguing with some dork on the internet the other day and put on there "why don't you log off for a little while and tell your mom to make you another Pop Tart." Then, however, I realized that this may have been dated not pierced the other dork's soul like I originally thought. The "log off" part also may have been dated and not immediately clear.

Do younger people still eat Pop Tarts and log off?

Who else eats around the edges and saves the delicious fruit filling for last?

As a kid I loved the apple pop tarts. I looked for them in the grocery store recently and all I could find were frosted pop tarts. The ones I had as a kid were not frosted. Is this part of the fattening up of Americans? Everything is covered in sugar?

Pop-Tarts are good. They're cookies, but they're good.

They really got us on those old commercials where pop tarts sat on the table with a bowl of oatmeal, pancakes, an egg white omelete, half a grapefruit, a glass of orange juice and it said "pop-tarts are part of a balanced breakfast"

I seem to remember them always being frosted.

I just don't understand how anyone - especially a parent - would be willing to put the following ingredient list into a human body:

quote:

ENRICHED FLOUR (WHEAT FLOUR, NIACIN, REDUCED IRON, VITAMIN B1 (THIAMIN MONONITRATE), VITAMIN B2 (RIBOFLAVIN), FOLIC ACID), CORN SYRUP, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, DEXTROSE, SOYBEAN AND PALM OIL (WITH TBHQ FOR FRESHNESS), SUGAR, BLEACHED WHEAT FLOUR, CONTAINS TWO PERCENT OR LESS OF WHEAT STARCH, SALT, DRIED STRAWBERRIES, DRIED PEARS, DRIED APPLES, LEAVENING (BAKING SODA, SODIUM ACID PYROPHOSPHATE, MONOCALCIUM PHOSPHATE), CITRIC ACID, GELATIN, MODIFIED WHEAT STARCH, YELLOW CORN FLOUR, CARAMEL COLOR, PALM OIL, XANTHAN GUM, CORNSTARCH, TURMERIC EXTRACT COLOR, SOY LECITHIN, RED 40, YELLOW 6, BLUE 1, COLOR ADDED.

Just because you CAN choke it down does not mean you SHOULD.

Not since pop-tart made the mistake of ceasing production on the best pop-tart flavor ever.

Been married 30 yrs and 2 kids. Never bought a Pop Tart.

I, on the other hand, used to eat them all the time as a college student and a bachelor.

I don't think my kids would know what to do with one, if put in front of them.

I still pause in front of the Pop Tart display to think about what once was...

My 12 yr old daughter won't eat them. She is health conscious" which is great. My 10 year old son, also, won't touch them. But he only eats chicken and bread it seems.

I keep a box of frosted cherry and brown sugar as treats. Yeah, I'm carrying 25 extra pounds. So what...

Kids love them and we recently made the mistake of bringing them to the grocery store with us and they have now found the little poppers. I don't think they are as good as actual pop tarts but work great for those days everyone oversleeps and we're rushing to get to school
