We have ZERO creativity on Offense

We can all sit here and blame Nuss, but this offense is putrid. We have no rhythm and never take advantage of mismatches with Taylor on a LB or Safety or Durham out of the backfield. I sat in the stadium last night and watched these long developing pass plays that never had a chance. I remember the same type of routes with the same outcome in 2018. Joe Brady changed the concepts with bunch formations, WR’s tight to the edge of the tackles, etc but none of these coaches paid attention obviously. Sloan is just not a good play caller. No rhythm, no creativity, and no designs that put stress on the defense. The majority of our offensive issues lie solely with that.

I hate watching this offense more than I hated watching Les Miles’s offense.
And I hate myself for having to admit this.

Agree. Still need an explanation for why he abandons things that work (Caden over left tackle).
Maybe players are shocked when Sloan DOES make a creative call: Williams dropping inside pass.

Been using that same word (creativity) just about all season in reference to the poor offensive design and play calling.

Nuss is a big problem right now. He can't handle pressure at all. The pass protection is given him 3+ seconds. That's all he should need but he takes too long to read through his progressions.
Our WRs can’t get separation.
Our run blocking sucks.
We have one decent RB.
Couple all this with our play calling being retarded and here we are.

Agree.
Dickson said last night the reason why the offense and Nuss look so bad since A&M is because opposing DCs have the playcalling entirely figured out, and Sloan cannot keep it fresh and effective.
This is a coaching problem.

Play calls are very predictable. They never call different plays with certain groupings. If z Thomas is in it’s a sweep. They run the same te drag route to Taylor. Everyone has been continually posting about the qb run options where nussmeir never keeps the ball and runs. There are not any breaks of tendency and opposing dc have clearly figured this out and adjusted. LSU staff hasn’t countered.

Last night on third and short w Anderson in left slot, had Taylor in motion. Cover was 10 yards off Anderson. We ran inside zone and Williams tiptoed in and laid down.
I would love to know what’s being said in that helmet.

Go rewatch the game please. 4 man rushes walked by mubenga and Chester all game. He did not have 3+ seconds ha. Found 3 plays he held too long. 1 was when game was over late. He gets ridiculed for tossing ints. Or for taking the sack. I don't get it. 12/15 151 on 3rd down with like 2 mins left in game. Go watch down and distant situations our lovely offense provides as well. How many 3rd and 8+ and 7 man coverages there is. Our offense is so basic. Nuss played very well. Counted 5 drops, 2 for first downs, Hilton for td. Atm threw 2 horrible ints, bama beat dog piss out of entire team. But I don't get how nuss is the problem with our fans. The offense can't score in red zone. We moved ball better then usc, atm, Florida. And lose cause inside 25 can't run, and limited at wr
The bottom 4 points after nuss, is exactly and 1000% the issue. Great points

Or every time we have a nice play on, someone fricks up like that Williams drop. That was a really nice play design.

The pass to Mason in the flat hasn't worked since bama game 2022.

That’s my whole point. The plays are long developing and he is going through progressions and getting pressure before the WR’s are even close to making their break. It was painful to watch.

It’s the same playbook they used for JD5 with an immobile QB. The QB roll-out to dump it to Mason to the flats or QB keep is a JD5 play.
Nuss is not a top 4 QB (Mel Kiper mock draft)

We could at least try a trick play or 2. Nothing

these are a little contradictory

It's pretty obvious and agreed upon by now that Sloans got no business coordinating the offense but it's a very touchy situation because of his relationship with Underwood. After signing day some type of change HAS to be made. It also should be noted that after 3 recruiting classes Hankton has not signed ANY difference makers at WR, and theres a really good chance hes going to lose his best commit to a flip to Notre Dame. Every WR that's involved this year is a transfer. That's unacceptable

Why not try Hilton on a dig or comeback. everyone knows he’s running a fly route when in.
