LSU fans wanting to fire coaches

I have watched the past few years and have gotten into constant arguments with some of my friends concerning the impatience of LSU fans.There were baseball fans wanting Jay Johnson fired the year before he won the Natty. Said he was Maneri 2.0. I had friends as well as lots of people here wanting Mcmahon fires after his first year! Said he couldn't recruit. Said he couldn't coach and would NEVER bebale to do what Wade did.Now we have fans screaming for Kelly to be fired in his 3rd year after winning SEC West his first year, bringing in a heisman QB with a prolific offense his second year and currently 6-3 with still a shot at the SECCG his 3rd year because he lost to TAM on the road and got rolled by Bama at home. Well they were wrong on the first 2 and may well be wrong about Kelly. These are the same guys that wanted JD benched in 2022 and gone in 2023. Anyone seeing a pattern here. Not saying we shouldn't be upset with the Bama game or not criticize coaches but screaming for Kelly to be fired is really stupid at this time.If he wins out he will have won10 games each year and has the #3 2025 class and currently #6 2026 class building to go with the #5 2024 class . He got to the playoffs twice at ND and anyone who says he can't coach did not pay attention in 2022. He needs to make some changes again but I feel he will have the players in place by 2025-2026 to make consistent runs at the playoffs and maybe years to come. If he doesn't then he will probably be gone but this constant whining to fire the coach because they don't turn it around on your clock is getting ridiculous. And they have all been wrong so far.Anyone remember Saban losing to Bama 44-15 and then 31-0 the next year. It happens to the best.

Comparing a 6th year coach to a 21 year coach isn’t the same. Comparing LSU in 2000 to LSU now isn’t the same. Comparing an SEC title and BCS victory in year 2 to nothing in year 3 isn’t the same.

No use addressing these people. Their opinions change from game to game. One series/game our coach/player is the greatest, the next they no longer deserve a job or starting spot.
After year 1 everyone was talking about how great Kelly would be because he took a roster that was beyond depleted to an SECCG. Never have they considered how long it truly takes guys like Harbaugh, Swinney, even Saban or Kirby to build a championship caliber program. Somehow, we should be the exception. Same point goes for McMahon.
I'd like to think it's a very small (but very loud) percentage of our fans. You know it's the kind of guys you listen to once and can tell they have no idea what they're talking about. It's beyond unrealistic, it's delusional.

Yes it is STUPID to be demanding kelly be fired just as it was STUPID to demand Mcmahon be fired after his first year much less his second and it was STUPID to want JJ fired just because LSU lost games early in the season LIKE THEY ALWAYS DO UNDER EVERY COACH LOL. Throughout my entire 62 year life coaches were given 5 years to get their players, coaches and system in place and then judged at that point unless of course they were having losing seasons every year and that is still the deal.Don't care whether there is NIL or transfer portals. That works both ways. Saban didn't have to worry about significant players leaving because another school offered them more money. And he had some big losses including UAB. AU fricking B! I am not a Kelly guy I'.m an LSU guy I used to sit in the rain watching us lose to Miss St at home during Curley Hallman so you are no more a LSU fan than I am. It's OK to criticize coaches but let's have some adults in the room for a change.

I don’t know who’s demanding he be fired because that’s simply not going to happen but the poor performances aren’t one offs or growing pains. They’re a trend throughout his career in how they happen so to pretend this coach is in his infancy in any way is disingenuous. Yes back in the old days you gave a coach one full cycle plus RS year to judge him but that isn’t how things are in the current day because of the portal and early entries. 3 years on top of his other 18 is plenty to judge him on. It’s not like he was losing one way at ND and is now losing in a different manner because of an acclimation problem or something. He’s losing these games the same way he always has.

So Please explain 2022. He beat a Saban Bama team. he went to the SECCG after taking over a dumpster fire. He went to the playoffs twice when there were only 4 teams. You only highlight the negatives but never the positives like beating Ole Miss which may be the best team in the country right now. Not saying he hasn't dropped the ball a couple of times this year but with the upcoming classes who the hell else would you have? Get over yourself. HE ISNT GOING ANYWHERE. So criticize but support for now. The problem with fans like you is even if he did winn it all in 2026 you would just criticize him for taking too long. LOL
