Harold Perkins What Ifs.

The other thread had me thinking about Perkins.
If he was 2-3” shorter, how good of a running back would he have been?
If he was 15 pounds lighter how good of a safety would he have been?
What would his career been like if we had this Star Position from his freshmen year?
I am always in the camp that we went the wrong way with his position and should have been aiming for Jamal Adams vs a pass rushing Debo Jones.

Would be pretty jacked up if he decided to come back and switch to safety. Would not be the most drastic change for him.

What if he was surrounded by good DBs, safeties, and other good linebackers? It’s easy to scheme against one guy.

I personally hope he recovers and returns. He was fun to watch his freshman year and I believe Baker will do a great job when he gets "his" guys.

It's a valid point in general. But we've been embaressed 2 games in a row. We have top 10 resources, athletic facilities, tradition, at worst. Our coaches are best paid or closest to highest in nation, so losing is acceptable and will happen, but getting boat raced by backup qb and bama with 2 weeks to prepare isnt. And losing to usc and not knowing durham is your rb, Perkins is a star safety, and weeks is your best lb.... that's all on Kelly and staff. So those things, should never happen. Losses do, but for the usc reasons, and way last 2 have been, those are inexcusable and why people have lost faith in direction of program
