Fly to Salt Lake, drive to Park City and stay there. Even if you don't ski it's a great town with breweries, distilleries, great dining, etc.

Second this! And it’s only about a 30 minute drive from SLC to the heart of Park City

Salt Lake really is underrated and Denver is a zoo that time of the year

I live in Atlanta and love it here, but I agree. Park City will be great with snow, etc. Atlanta will just be cold and very possibly raining. It'll be about 1/2 the price of Park City, but still...

Bingo. Marriott Mountainside is a good spot.

What is the main thing you want to do on your trip? If you want to go someplace scenic, see snow, and possibly do outdoor winter stuff, SLC and Park City is a no brainer. Also, assuming you live in the south, its always fun to see a part of country I don't get to see that often.

However, if you mainly want to eat/drink, shop, maybe go to the spa, get quiet time away from the family and end each night with netflix, sex and chill in the hotel room, Atlanta would be fine and way cheaper.

Only drawback to SLC, Park City, and even Denver in the winter is the cost and they can be really, really busy.

Salt Lake downtown is very walkable and very clean. Lots of nice restaurants and Park City isn’t far away.

Easy choice imo.

prohibition utah is a cool little restaurant and usually has some burlesque type shows and stuff.
