Different take than many here..
1. Thune probably is a better leader than Scott because ppl actually like him, he understands the senate rules better, he will still be w trump 99% of the time.
2. It wasnt a fight worth Trump picking if he didnt think Scott could actually win.. 2016 Trump wouldve gone all in on this fight and burned a bunch of bridges for no reason. While a lot of maga ppl made noise, Trump never said anything because i suspect he knew Scott didnt have much of a chance and theres no need to burn political capital. This is stark improvement and shows he may really be able to work w Thune and Johnson to get shite done

He only votes conservative 67% of the time. He’s a war pig and a fricking sellout.

ANYBODY who is a RINO acolyte of McConnell is NOT a good choice for Trump´s mandate.

No idea why people are downvoting you as what you say makes sense. Trump stayed on sidelines because he likely knew it wasn’t going to go to Scott and why burn bridges when he has so much momentum.

None of us can change it. We all tried by writing our reps but they honestly don’t give a frick about us their constituents. They know its hard to get primaried and are willing to risk it to keep their grift and uniparty power.

They will cave on some bills and allow leftists to add some pork to get them to pass. We just have to hope when Trump needs to fight Thune behind doors he can get him onboard.

Watch any bill that has a hidden gun law as Thune is a gun grabber. But lets hope he supports our agenda

Lot of dumb ppl here. If trump pushed for Scott and lost it would be embarrassing and blunt his momentum and piss ppl off

He's not a "war pig", and the cruel reality of the world is that there's a time for peace, but also regrettably a time for war.

Ukraine is hanging on by just a wisp, and needs the armaments and monetary support to bolster their defense against Putin. Otherwise we're looking at dire reality of a domino effect where the Russian bully runs roughshod over NATO states.

Well, downvote anyway-- what's what, is what.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. There is no planet where Thune is a good result for the America First agenda.

Russia isn't going to run roughshod over anyone other than the relatively small pro Russian piece of Ukraine.

Those thinking he is the next Hitler and will plow through Poland or any other NATO country has lost their mind. He won't step foot on NATO ground with troops, bombs, or otherwise.

To much risk for the squeeze and Putin isn't dumb enough to cut his own head off.

He doesn't want nuclear war either and understands stepping over the NATO line will be the effective end of his run of power.

They will vote conservative when it doesn't matter. Anything really worth passing will be blocked, if it even ever gets to be a bill.

I wouldn’t pay it much attention. Or any attention. Doomers are not smart people.
