Kamala Harris Was Always Doomed, by Victor Davis Hanson

The presidential race was not unpredictable, as the now once again discredited polls swore to us.
The Republicans had made massive gains in voter registration since 2020, when Donald Trump lost the Electoral College by only a few thousand strategically placed votes.
Republicans began to master the transition to non-Election Day balloting—first engineered by the Left in 2020 under the pretext of COVID-19.
Republicans not only vastly exceeded their early or mail-in voting totals of 2020, but by Election Day they often outpaced Democrats.
For months, it was widely reported, albeit grudgingly, that there were large defections in Hispanic and African American voters from Vice President Kamala Harris.
The betting odds over the past three weeks usually favored Trump.
Harris simply could not run on anything she had so emphatically promoted in the past—given these left-wing, unpopular, and failed policies had no majority support.

It's not Kamala, it's the D party that is doomed. The D party is the problem, not the candidates.

VDH is the one of - if not THE - smartest men in America. Blade of Perseus is the best podcast not named Joe Rogan Experience. Absolute genius.

It was simple..... She was not a likeable canidate and didn't have good things to run on.....

Always appreciate perspective from VDH. I don’t always agree lockstep with him, but he makes well nuanced commentary.
He’s another former Democrat who wised up and shifted more Conservative, I believe he considers himself Independant.

and on the right we have George Will who professes to be a Republican but who has dumbed down and shifted more Liberal.

They thought they’d win on the fact they hate Trump. Wrong

This belies the fact that the popular vote totals don't add up in comparing 2020 vs 2024.
The reason they don't add up is the Democrats cheated mightily in 2020 by fabricating over 10 million mail-in ballots for Biden.

They preach kumbayaism in one breath and hate for Trump in another breath. No wonder no one believes their crap.

They ran on the same, old, tired, playbook. Trumps team threw some new looks at them.

Article forgot to mention the loser she picked for running mate. Walz turned off a lot of voters too.
And let's not get started about how utterly moronic his wife appeared. And talking to voters like grade schoolers.

Agreed. She was an historically bad candidate.

Yup. The DNC is circling the drain. They have no bench and the only thing making them relevant is the MSM. They are all smoke and mirrors.

Saw a Youtube video on that this morning. From 2012 to 2024, the number of votes for the Dem candidate were almost identical...about 65 million. Except for 2020 when it jumped upward by 15 million votes.

They tripled down on Hillary’s deplorable comments by calling 1/2 the country Nazi garbage.

In my 53 years, it has to be one of the worst tickets ever.
McCain/Palin was bad. Mondale/Ferrareo not good. Dukakis was pretty bad, yet Lloyd Bentsen seemed a like an old school democrat.
