Long story, I'll make it short as possible: A then younger woman I worked with is Afghani. Born and raised in the US, but full blood Afghan. Of all of her family, cousins, sister, etc etc, she was the only one who had never been to the "home country." So after we took over, her parents were trying to get her to go...her parents had money, and they offered to pay for the trip. She turned it down because she wasn't married...at that time...and in their culture, all marriages are arranged. She was worried she would get over there, and they would say "Okay, here's your new husband Ahmed." She would be stuck 8,000 miles from home, with no money, in a country she's never been to, doesn't speak the language of, and "married" to some dude she's never met, who is going to view her as his property.
It truly is a different world over there.

Is there a link? Cause I've Googled that twice and can't find anything on it.
If it's who he's been identified as, he's a born and raised Texan.
Only way I could see a border crossing being relevant is if he...assuming he's the guy identified...went to Mexico to get cash/guns/intel from a handler.

No you don't.
10 hours, more or less, from Eagle Pass to NO. If the truck went from Eagle Pass to Houston, assuming it sat at the owner's residence for at least some amount of time, taking refueling/recharging into account, that's a pretty fast trip.

Here's the quote from the original link I posted. (Love ABC misspelled ABC)
Truck used in New Orleans attack apparently rented through carsharing app
The F150 truck that was used in the New Orleans attack was a vehicle rented through the Turo app - a carsharing company, ACB News has learned.
The truck's owner told ABC News that he rented this truck to an individual through Turo and that he is currently talking to the FBI, declining to comment further.

Sorry, I may have linked the wrong article.
LINK
Truck involved in attack was registered to Houston man
The New York Times is reporting that the Ford electric vehicle was owned by a 42-year-old man from Houston, Texas.
The truck was apparently rented on Turo, and police have already contacted the owener who listed it.

Oh I could see renting one from someone, but definitely not renting out a F150 Lightning.

The truck crossed the border, no proof if/when he crossed the border. Truck was rented through an app...who the frick would rent out their vehicle to a stranger?

Yeah but, I know there's a big move away from the "Left Coast" to elsewhere. That would account for the increase in votes in the currently red states. But are those people blue voters, or red voters? Or more likely, a mix of the two?
If the blue voters moving to, let's say Texas, outnumber the red voters, they could, potentially, turn Texas from red to blue.

This belies the fact that the popular vote totals don't add up in comparing 2020 vs 2024.
Saw a Youtube video on that this morning. From 2012 to 2024, the number of votes for the Dem candidate were almost identical...about 65 million. Except for 2020 when it jumped upward by 15 million votes.
I bought some earlier this year...maybe late last year, can't remember. I've over doubled my initial investment. Yet Schwab...I use Schwabs app...tells me it's graded a "D." I'll hold onto it until it starts to really drop.

OU's Oline is horrible. There are FCS Olines better than OU's. Arnold wasn't getting enough time to set up and throw. They went with Hawkins because his running ability allowed OU to compensate, to some extent, for bad O line play.

Am I crazy for thinking the Freshman QB for OU might have potential in the right situation?
He was completely overwhelmed, certainly, but there seems to be something there.
He seems to have a heck of a lot of athletic ability. Not sure he can throw the ball more than 10 or 15 yard though. He's usually running for his life before the receivers get downfield any further than that.
