Secord half of A & M game we never stopped their QB. .Never stopped Bama QB- same A & M plays.. Is the problem our coaches or our players?

I know talent and injuries are a problem but Blake Baker is the highest paid Defensive Coordinator in America at $2.5 million a year.

The performance on defense is completely fricking unacceptable when we have the highest paid assistant coach in the land

I'm not sure we had a spy on Jalen all game

if we did, we didn't have the right person on it or we are just lacking in speed on the defense

Everything I see on defense seems to be personnel related. Good or bad, I think Baker is getting the team in the defense he wants.

Offensively, I was very disappointed at how we looked coming off a bye week. And, we had zero adjustments IMO as the game went on.

Every play is a struggle. Even plays we make Nuss is usually scrambling to make it.

In honesty it is the players, but then the coaches need to scheme to overcome the players. Our Dline gets moved off the ball too easy. Our safeties are slow to help. on one of Milroes big runs we blitzed Penn on an outside rush. Left Weeks with 2 gaps to cover and no help from Gilbert. the dt on that side got blown up and Weeks picked wrong gap. Thing with zone reads it gives the QB time to pick the hole to run in.

On another Milroe big run, the Dt got blown up 5 yards back into the lber. IT also allowed the combo block into the lber too easy. Again, no safety

Overpaying someone doesn’t make them smarter at their job

There’s a new highest paid coach every year. Means very little. Baker has been great making chicken salad out of chicken shite this year. We have very little talent on defense by SEC standards.

The only SEC-level guys on that side of the ball (excluding freshman) are Zy, Swinson, and Weeks. Maybe Stamps.

Again, excluding freshman who shouldn’t be expected to contribute much in year 1 anyway, we do not have a single competent safety. We have one competent linebacker (Weeks). We have maybe 2 competent corners (Zy, Stamps). We have 2, maybe 3 competent edge guys (Swinson, Jones, Womack).

Complete lack of talent at every level.

Adjustments? Everyone and their mother knew what the Bama gameplan was going to be, we just couldn’t stop it.

TBD if it’s a personnel or a schematic problem with Blake in general

We have slooooow LB’s. That’s the problem. Neither Weeks nor Penn have any lateral speed. Can’t coach speed.

The defensive is coached to be aggressive and gamble to mask talent deficiencies. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

The only call I will pick on is the long Milroe TD run. Baker brought in the blitz package and completely sold out on the pass on a 3rd and 9 with the opponent backed up into their own territory up 28-6. That was idiotic, and BK gave Baker a look to let him know it was ridiculous.

How much talent does Vanderbilt and USF have? Because Vandy held Milroe to 10 rush yards. South Florida held him to 2 rush yards.

While the choices being made on QB read options are made by the players, it's up to the coaches to teach proper gap integrity and drill it until they get it. If they refuse to run the scheme they should be on the bench.

BK talks about players needing to "do their job" yet nothing happens to them when they don't. There's a severe lack of accountability and discipline with this team from top to bottom.

How much talent does Georgia have? Milroe had 500 total yards and 4 TDs against them. There’s years of evidence showing the transitive property is a stupid way to form an opinion.

I mean I watched Sage Ryan run himself out of 3 TD plays

Watched Gilbert not tackle Milroe on one of his runs and then one play he tries to tackle the RB around his chest and the the runner just gets lower and bulls through him for the 1st.

We dont have any x-factors on the team unfortunately

There’s been some gap integrity issues but mostly I see safeties in space unable to make a tackle.

Totally agree. Our safety play is the worst it's ever been. That's on Jake Olsen. Linebackers, CB's, and interior DL have been doing pretty well this year.

Don’t need X factors to form a competent defense, just need to not be soft as baby shite.

Unfortunately, we are soft as baby shite.

When’s the last time you saw an LSU safety fly in and make a tackle near the LOS?
