Oh no. Dreaded vote of confidence.
Where's he going to end up after this season

Smart to announce ahead of time before the losing streak begins

Billy Napier & Dave Aranda entered the season on the hottest seats. Both may end up remaining.

Not coincidental: A year from now, schools will be permitted to directly pay players more than $20 million annually.

Napier’s buyout was around $25-26M. Aranda’s: $20-25M.

Imagine your boss called a company meeting to specifically announce that they wouldn’t be firing you this year

This gives Lagway some pretty big leverage in NIL "renegotiations".

Dead program
Just fell back to pre Spurrier days. Back to the years when they'd only played in three major bowls. They were in the Sugar Bowl twice, 1965 and 1974 and one Orange Bowl. 1966. Spurrier had them in the Sugar Bowl his 2nd year, and they played in major bowls in eight of his 12 years. LSU had a winning record against them until Spurrier got there. Then they ran off 11 wins and one loss for his duration against the Tigers.. Since 2010, LSU has an 11-3 record against them.

LSU fans my age hated Spurrier much more than Meyer. After he coached at South Carolina we loved him.

Pretty happy for this season at least. I was worried Florida was going to fire Billy after they lose to Texas and LSU was gonna catch Florida in the Swamp with the first week interim coach hype.

The rumor is that he's gonna hire Pitt's OC (Kerwin Bell's son) to call plays but I'm still not happy.
