This probably has a lot to do with normal folks fleeing the metro areas. There was a large migration during Covid.

Fleeing to counties bordering Mexico? Think again.

How the heck did Austin flip Republican? Thought it was all mostly liberals like the San Francisco of Texas?

Texas is waiting for Godot.... a blue Texas is inevitable: a younger population overall than before, and Texas, like California, New Mexico and Arizona, is majority minority.

Doesn’t Dallas have a black, Republican mayor? Irony.

Don't think he ran as a Republican, just switched parties at some point after he had been in office.

That's not Austin, but the north suburbs of Austin-- Williamson County which includes Georgetown and the large suburban community of Round Rock.

Still, flipping Republican is a surprise, as Round Rock is home of Dell Computer and the county is sort of a Silicon Valley East.

Austin didn’t flip. Just moved to the right over last election.

Dallas county did also.

The county to the south of Dallas is heavy African American, but also middle-high income African American, so that’s actually odd.

The county to the east of Dallas has seen a ton of minorities move in from Dallas County.

Dallas and Htown have tons of transplants from blue states. Let’s hope they aren’t procreating

Nothing you’ve said is supported by any data.

Dallas county was actually 9.8 pts more red than 2020. The blues are surrounding counties, Kaufman and Ellis.

Confuse. The map shows a huge amounts of shifts to the right, contrary to what you say here.
