I was just thinking about how coaches these days spend just a few years at universities before either being fired or leaving. If Les keeps doing the job he's done since being here, how long will our relationship last with him? Do you think he has a "Dream Job" that he would leave for instead of staying here?

I personally would LOVE to have a long term coach where recruits know what they are getting when they come here ( for example Joe Pa and Bowden). I also think Les really loves coaching at LSU and would love to be here for a very long time.

Next year will be an excellent indicator, but I expect a good season and a long term coach, Les has ties to the BR community and by all indications, he and his family enjoy being at LSU. Hopefully, we will keep him here, he is an excellent coach and a better human being

I think if RR fails at Mich and that is possible, Les will go this time. but by this time Saban, who is very fond of BR might wanna come back, what do you think, you forgive him?

The way I see it, if Les wanted to go to Michigan he would have went last year. During the time of the SEC game, LSU was thought to be out of the n.c. hunt and he still declined the offer. That tells me that he really loves where he's at. And if you think about it, most head coaches at LSU stay here until they get fired. The Skipper stayed forever. Brady stayed forever. The girls b-ball coach would have stayed forever until everyone found out she was a carpet muncher.

If Miles continues to win here, Michigan won't matter, he'll be here until he retires.

You can hold a babyass grudge as long as you want, but if Miles leaves and Saban wants to come back, only a total idiot would not want him back.

I have no grudge, I am one of the few that still supports coach Sab.

Saban is the only head coach that wasn't fired in recent memory to leave our university for another coaching job.

Saban leaving Bama to go anywhere would just show how loyal he is to programs. I dont think i would want him back. He did what he did and im thankful for it, but to take him back, i wouldnt want it.

why would it matter if it was leaked or not? If he wanted to go he would have gone. Business is business.

I think RR shits the bed next year and gets canned. I like Les to stay for a LOOONNGGG time.

Who would walk away from this recruiting class and into a shitfest in Meechigan

well, because it made the LSU diehards want him even harder, gave him great bargaining leverage, before nobody really gave a damn if he was going to Mich or not, especially after blowing that Arky game.

So long as he continues to win, I don't think he goes anywhere. He had his chance at UM last year and didn't go, regardless of any leaks or other circumstances. Like a poster said earlier, "business is business" and he didn't take his opportunity.

The timing was bad for CLM. I don't know if the Herbstreit info was accurate or not, but CLM had to deny it once the story was out. He was about to play a SEC Championship. Then everything fell their way, and LSU ends up in the BCS title game.
