If Kamala loses tonight, what are the chances that she’s the Democrat candidate in 2028?

The democrats may have set themselves up for failure with Kamala going forward IF she loses tonight. She’s still fairly young, and the DNC, with help from the media, have painted such a positive picture of her; can they distance themselves enough to have a different nominee in 2028?
I refuse to believe most of these people actually like her and are just trying to make the best of a bad hand.
