Why the hell is she leaving for that long with your brand new son?

Her parents who live in a different country are going to help take care of our son. My wife feels overwhelmed due to postpartum depression

Oh wow. That’s a long time. Which country?

The longest my husband has been away is a month.

Go visit her sooner no matter what it takes or costs. I can almost guarantee you that her parents would come stay with you if you have room. I would do anything for my kids or grandkids.

Ohhh. Interesting.

I was just curious in case it was a cultural thing, but I don’t think so with Australia.

Hopefully being home will help her. But that’s a long time to be away and a very long way away. I’m sorry.

That's rough, man. I hope the best for y'all.

I've only ever done 5 days solo. The first day or two are nice, but then I miss everyone's presence, even if it's chaotic.

Wife and I did 10 days without the kids, and I couldn't wait to hold them when I got back home.

PPD is rough. Are you unable to help her with your job or something like that?

I’m not sure I could handle my wife and newborn being gone for that long. Are you planning on visiting?

I guess I'm a homeboy. Only a week at most about 6 or 7 times over 40 years.
