Ruths Chris consistently

Has just incredible steaks. I had the 22oz bone in ribeye and it was just perfection.
Have no clue how they consistently do it so great.
I love cooking my own steaks and my wife says they are fantastic but I cannot match that quality.

Bold statement given that nearly every major city in America has a steakhouse better than Ruth Chris

That may be true but I wouldn't know since i am not able to travel to major cities due to my wife's poor health.
I'm just glad she's still with me for the time being.

Like any fine steakhouse, they use dry aged prime steaks to serve their customers. Also, Ruth Fertel had special grills designed for her restaurants that got to 1800 degrees in order to cook the steaks to perfection. She also started the sizzling hot plate craze that sees the steaks coming to the table piping hot. They drop a dollop of butter atop the steak as it's plated and as it melts and hits the hot plate, it sizzles and adds another layer of flavor to the steak.

While probably true, what a swing and a miss here. The point was that if you don’t know anywhere else to go, Ruth’s Chris if anything is very consistent.

BEST steakhouse in town!

Had dinner there last night. Place is such a gem. I think the broccoli au gratin might be my favorite side dish in the world.

I’m pretty sure they actually DON’T dry age their steaks.

I can find the best steakhouses in any city in less that 5 minutes. Technology is your friend.

Yeah, guys. Stop posting your opinions about restaurants on the Food and Drink Board. This guy has Yelp and Google, so he doesn’t need to hear all that from you.

The one in BR is fantastic. I believe it's locally owned and operated so perhaps that's the difference.

Been to several Ruth's Chris restaurants in my days.
Jackson (RIP)
Memphis
Birmingham
Destin
Tampa
Atlanta
San Antonio - Airport
San Antonio - La Cantera
New Orleans
However, the best one we've ever eaten at was a non-corporate owned location in downtown Boise. It was incredible.

Ok. I’ll stop posting my opinion that Ruth Chris is not “perfection” since better steaks can be found in any major city.
Perfection literally means ‘perfect’ which would insinuate there is nothing better out there.

And it will still be, at best, a coin toss as to whether that place will be better.
That being said, I’m generally not going to eat at a Ruth’s Chris while traveling.

I’ve only been to ours a few times, but I’m not keen on dropping $200+ on dinner while sharing a dining room with people wearing sunglasses indoors, in airbrushed t shirts, ripped jeans, gold teeth, stripper dresses, etc…

It is very easy to stand out in Baton Rouge

I love their steaks, but the sides have become pretty mediocre the last 5-10 years.

Your opinion probably isn't wrong; you're just such a prick about it.

Probably. But the use of the word “perfection” may be used too liberally here.
