Below are the stats I have compiled from Scuba's reports. Some of them may not be 100% accurate but it is accurate enough to get an idea of how guys are doing.

As in the past, people have brought up my WHIP stat is incorrect because I include HBP. I know that technically is not correct but that is how I like to keep up with it to include baserunners allowed on whether it be by BB or HBP.

Hitters are sorted by OBP and pitchers are sorted by WHIP.

Good lord Gavin, if we have another inning eater in Guidry pitching like that instead of the stopper/closer role this team is gonna be elite

Edit: Curiel's K rate is the most impressive stat, he will see the field early and often if he keeps that up based on Jay's previous teams

Does anyone know who his HRs have been off of? He was streaky in JUCO and while he wasn't bad against the better competition, he really feasted against some of the lower tier teams they played.

I'm not 100% positive this is accurate but I think he has hit 2 off Noot and one off both Thompson and Williams.

Thank you sir

LSU baseball fans are indeed fortunate to have folks like you, Wild, Scuba, and others who provide this information, especially those of us outside of BR.

Truly appreciated.

I think catching will be just fine with him and Arrambide.

I don't think the hitting at the catcher position was ever a huge question. The question is who will play the best defense to handle the pitching staff.

I’m pretty surprised by the Dorsey stat line. He dominated the cape.

Curiel stats are much better and I think he will be a much better all around ball player than Zeb. No knock on him but I don't feel like Zeb was ever truly an LSU caliber player.

Went back in my fall stats for Zeb.

Freshman year fall Zeb was .264 AVG, .371 OBP, 5 HR, 36% K rate.

Sophomore .311 AVG, .436 OBP, 0 HR, and a 30% K rate.

If I remember right Zeb had 2 weekends where he was ridiculously hot at the plate that freshman fall and people ran with how good he was.

It was a joke. Calm down.

ETA: Zeb had ungodly scrimmage stats at this juncture. Like over .500 with multiple homers.

I've had the chance to watch them scrimmage three times.

I posted this in another thread:

I understand that Stanfield is your CF, Brown is hitting the cover off the ball, and Larson will be in the lineup, but Curiel will play a lot this season. I'm not sure how he won't be a Day 1 starter.

It's not just the impressive numbers posted by BayTiger13 here. When you watch him play, you can see he is on another level from most of the guys. Everything he does, baserunning, batting, fielding, and throwing, is polished and effortless.

Curiel was a way better prospect then Ruddell and likely saw a lot better competition out in California
A year before the draft Curiel was all but gone, don't know what the scouts didn't like to make him drop but this was huge to get him to campus

We definitely know what Josh Pearson can hit average wise, will be interesting to see if Jay keeps sticking with him but we all know he can give you clutch at bats in SEC play
