Up 17-7 we should be able to bang him into a defense to switch up the tempo.
He’s not a bad back. He just needs to get lathered up.

Durham is a great piece but he can’t be our only option this early I his career and Williams is serviceable.

Nuss should not be throwing the ball 50 times a game. 35 is a good number. We should give 10-12 of those plays to Kaleb Jackson and 3 to Zavion Thomas.

We gotta be less predictable going forward. The defense is fine we just put them in terrible situations all second half.

For an at best 1 yard gain?

Doesn’t matter who has the ball if the linemen can’t make a hole.

Against Arkansas he avg 6 yards a carry.

He needs more touches as to not wear down the other 2 backs.

Also to take a load off of Nuss’s arm and need to force things

Kelly said those short outlet throws should be considered runs. Let’s get some of those going so that Jackson can get 4 and turn up field. It’s not rocket science.

Kaleb doesn’t have good vision. I agree with throwing short passes to him, but save the runs for Durham and Williams. Durham is also a bigger threat than any of the backs to break one.

kelly has ruined our running game. No back could have changed the outcome of that game

Running game has sucked arse for 3 years now aside from JD. Apparently BK can’t manufacture a running game at all unless it’s with the QB. The offense being one dimensional and entirely dependent on Nuss is not a recipe for consistent success. No QB can do everything every single week. They’re gonna falter at some point. He has to have help

He doesn’t need great vision to be a change of pace. He weigh 230 just run hard into the designed block for 3 yds. It’s just to make them respect the treat of run a get the other backs some rest so that they are fresh in the 4th quarter

Sorry, but this is a horrible take. Kaleb Jackson has shown nothing but running straight up the middle into the Center's back for a 0 yard gain. He had what like 2 good carries vs Arkansas? He's not the answer. The answer is OL has to block and open up holes.

Diggs ran for 653 yards and 5.5 ypc last year and missed two games. Standing next to Daniels helped, but he also fit the scheme. He had good vision and was quick to the hole. But he got hurt and then left.

Durham is the only guy who really fits what we run and what this OL is capable of without a running QB. With him not 100%, the run game is going to struggle.

Jackson is the biggest bust this season. Him adding weight in the offseason was a HUGE mistake! He isn’t even a shell of himself from last season. It looks like 2 different players. I was more excited about him before the season started than any other player. He has regressed enormously.

Williams is good - much better than Jackson.

Brian Kelly is the key.

Season relies on way too many players.

Its coaching and it’s always been coaching.

For as good as the offensive line has been at pass protecting, they were awful at run blocking on Saturday night and have not been good all season. They were better against Arkansas but they took 3 steps back after last Saturday's game.

The run calls are the same each game. The run play call has the RB running between the tackles. We see that but, if the RB cuts hard left or right before he hits the wall, there is yardage to gain. If Nuss keeps the ball every now and then, he could get some yards. LSU run plays are just too predictable.

There are only 2 or 3 running plays that I can tell and the other teams know them and when they are doing them… no back has a chance

Agree with everything you said with the exception of one item. Nuss should be on the sideline waiting to back up a dual threat quarterback that doesn’t wear concrete boots and a straight jacket. I blame BK for us not having a dual threat QB on the field and having one that’s not even a single threat.
