Elko coached circles around Kelly last night. Does Kelly even coach or just sit on the sideline yelling in his headset and looking red faced?

It’s sad people still support Kelly. Nuss looks lost, the o line has to be one of the worst rushing o lines in the nation, defense is awful still. What has actually gotten better with Kelly? Jayden Daniels saved his arse from being 6-6 last year. This guy is a fraud

Couldn’t argue with any of that if I wanted to. Kelly looks like a man who wants to retire.

Well the talent pool he was left was far superior to what Kely was left. The problem is, why are they more talented in year 1 than we are in year 3?

That’s finally being addressed but it took 2 years.

My biggest concern with CBK has been his coordinator choices: Defense last year, Offense this year and Special teams every year.

Kelly is a low ceiling coach. No surprise.

Lsu didnt have the right assistants until 9 months ago, the talent is still lacking because of it. Its gonna be alot better in two years. Elko walked into a much more talent rich team. With that said, lsu wins if that game was played in tiger stadium. So i dont think elko is ahead

A 10-year 100 million dollar almost guaranteed deal adds a lot of complacency. The hunger to grind every day isn't there.

After the game last night Kelly looked like he didn't even care.

I think whenever we consider a new coach from now on we need to look at their record vs ranked teams.

LSU got gypt on this one. Bad.

7 of their defensive starters came from the portal, elko spent the money in the portal to compete immediately

A&M fired Jimbo because he had an elite roster and couldn’t win. Elko is doing a good job but it’s dishonest to paint this as a rebuild.

Kelly’s players not executing when they could have distanced themselves was the issue in the first half. Coaching was fine. And I’m guessing you missed Ello looking like Mt. Vesuvius on the sideline last night.

Nuss looks lost

He was leading the SEC in most QB categories last night. And honestly probably still is in several. He had 2 bad interceptions but when you’re asked to do as much as he is, that’s the price.

I can’t imagine how spoiled you have to be to think 405 and 3 TDs is “lost”

Can’t argue that one one bit. It’s baffling.

quote:

defense is awful still

This is just objectively false and honestly where you lost all credibility. It’s obvious you’re just in your feelings. Aggy was completely shut down for 2 and a half quarters last night and switched to the opposite style qb. Defense couldn’t make the adjustments.

Recruiting, Heisman trophy count, Program Status (not being run by a child), won the west in year 1 and despite your feelings, still in it going into November in year 3. Yall easily forget this program had 38 scholarship players and a WR playing qb when he took over.

And they were absolutely awful against a very vanilla system that we have seen 100 times. That's not a good defense.

It's obvious you're all up in your feelings and want the D to be not awful

So you think the defense this year is just as bad as last year? Because that is what was implied by “the defense is awful STILL”

It’s a yes or no answer.

Nothing screams coaching is fine like the inability to scheme a running game and having no idea how to adjust to a running QB. Not to mention that cluster frick of time management at the end of the half. Kelly plays scared, always has. He’s too old to adjust at this point.

Why are you changing what people are discussing?

Who said anything about last year?

Because that is what was implied by “the defense is awful STILL”

People crowned Baker THIS year far too early, was the point of that comment.

That doesn't require the D to be historically bad like last year. There is plenty of space in the "awful" range to put this D after last night.

Passed him by? When did he have it?
I expect Notre Dame to be ranked higher than LSU, come Monday..
