Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, has taken on an unexpected role in the former president’s 2024 campaign, helping him connect with younger audiences through popular podcast appearances.

Though the 18-year-old NYU student has kept a low profile on the campaign trail, Trump has credited Barron with recommending podcasts that have attracted millions of views, particularly among Gen Z and millennial men.

Recent appearances by Trump on several major podcasts have generated millions of views.

Among them was a conversation with streamer Adin Ross, as well as appearances on “This Past Weekend” with comedian Theo Von, “Flagrant” with comic Andrew Schulz, and the “PBD Podcast” hosted by Patrick Bet-David.

Trump’s interview with Theo Von on August 20 amassed 14 million views, while the October 9 sit-down with Andrew Schulz received 6.2 million views, and Trump’s October 17 conversation with Bet-David reached 2.8 million views on YouTube.

Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller praised Barron’s involvement in selecting these podcast platforms. “Barron has been very involved in recommending a number of the podcasts that we should do,” Miller said on Politico’s “Playbook Deep Dive” podcast. “Every single recommendation he’s had has turned out to be absolute ratings gold that’s broken the internet.”

Older generations still think in terms of broadcast news, MSM and celebrities.

The younger generation follows people and things the older generation has never heard of. The most famous people for gen z are likely Taylor Swift, Charli D'Amelio and Mr Beast.

Most boomers have no idea who two of those people are but collectively they reach 250M followers weekly.

Joe Rogan has 15M followers on spotify.

There isn’t a newspaper or broadcast news platform who can reach a fraction of that yet billions are spent on tv ads every campaign season on those channels.

Remember that there are 2 distinct older generations. What you say is true of 80+ year olds, not so much people in my 60+ age group. shite, we were only in our 30's during the 90's, it is not that we were completely fossilized before frivolity took over. Some of us even looked at our elders, the hippie trash, and felt sorry for their kids.

I’m not arguing they don’t know anything about technology.

I’m just saying that 90% of people 60+ have no idea who Mr Beast is because influencer culture is completely foreign to them because he isn’t putting out content geared towards their demographic.

It’s an entire culture that exists without half the country having any idea what it is or is being said.

Not all olders. My dad (84) and I were talking last night about podcasts. He’s been so programmed by YouTube shorts, tik toc, and Facebook videos he admitted he doesn’t have the patience for a long form interview.

I told him to quit watching the BS and get back to using his brain.

Who are the top twitch streamers? Any chance Trump shows up on a Fortnite or Overwatch stream?

It’s been brilliant and has worked really well for him. Trump is authentic and a natural on podcasts.

This is why this man is successful as a politician, even though he may not agree with everyone he still listens, and lets someone make their pitch to him.

Podcasts are an incredibly cheap way to reach eyeballs.

Kamala didn't think if it. In fact, she turned it down.

She brilliant?
