Henry has amassed 873 rushing yards and is averaging an eyepopping 6.5 yards per carry, numbers that have him reaching 2,120 yards by season's end if he keeps up this pace. Eric Dickerson currently has the record at 2,105 rushing yards. Obviously I think the likelihood of him keeping up this momentum is slim, but it's pretty incredible that he's putting up these numbers at his position at his age.

OJ breaking 2k in only 14 games is still the best season imo. He really killed it that year.

He started this season as at least a fringe candidate, but will end it as a first ballot guy.

thats just the jump up all the lists he’ll have this season.

Most RBs start dropping off as they near 30. Big physical backs typically have a quicker and steeper decline, but not Henry.

There are other exceptions. Henry might be like John Riggins, and continue to produce well into his 30’s. The difference is Riggins didn’t have break-away speed at that age.

I don't know about that, but two years of this, and he will be.

Imagine if Ravens got him 2-4 years ago when he was really at his peak.

Henry is the best back of his generation. He's led the league in yards twice and finished second twice. He's led the league in yards per game three times and is on his way to a fourth.

It's time to let 2015 go. Do this for your mental health.

You think he needs to have another two more years of 2K yard or near 2K yard seasons?

If he leads the league in rushing that will be his 3rd rushing title. Every player with 3 or more rushing titles is a HOFer or will be one (Peterson).

If he continues this great season and has even 2 mediocre seasons after (lets say like 400-600 yards and 5 TDs) he will be top 15 all time in rushing yards and top 5 in TDs. All top 15 guys are in the HOF or will be (Peterson).

To me he looks shiftier and quicker at the point of attack and in traffic than he has ever looked.

No, the ignoramus who posted that isn't thinking about anything but his chapped arse after Henry ran all over the LSU defense and Fournette was crushed by the elite Bama defense about 9 years ago.

That would put him 1st ballot imo

I think he's already got a spot in Canton, to me the debate now is how soon.

If he looked completely washed this year and stayed that way, I agree that he probably doesn’t get in. But if he gets another 2000k, we’re talking 1st ballot territory
