What's up, OB! When I landed in NOLA from Georgia a few years ago, my googling of the most important questions would often lead me here: Where's the closest fishable salt water to my house? Where can I find the best boudin? What the **** is a Baw? I've come back often for info on water conditions, what boat to buy, camps, WMA access... So I finally decided to join. Hoping to continue to learn, perhaps contribute, and make some connections with like-minded folks. Still taking food recs, too.

how do you feel about shooting dogs?

Should I reply here or "the thread?"
My take, informed by growing up in quail country in S. Georgia:
If they're wild, they could pose a disease and predation threat to my dog, game animals/ birds, etc. Probably also eaten up with heartworms and other parasites and generally living a shitty existence, so I've got no problem with varmint/ nuisance /predator control, as this is basic game/land management.
HOWEVER: People who shoot pets/working dogs deserve all the bad karma they've got coming. If they shoot my dog, an English Cocker who is better trained than your kids, they should dig two holes.

how do you feel about coyotes killing your dogs and eating them?

Negative, although I do target shoot with a recurve occasionally and will probably take it into the woods at some point. I live uptown, so it's hard to find a place to practice consistently.

In a very detailed but short response what is your stance on the following.
6.5 creedmore?
Bowfishing?
Crossbows?
Truck nuts?

I'm here for it, although it's Grandaddy (er, Grandeddy) where I'm from.

Let's say your neightbor is a real pain in the arse. And their dog is intolerable. Barks all the time.
You look out your back window to see a Haitian immigrant sneaking up on the yappy dog. But a coyote is simultaneously stalking the Haitian.
All you have handy is a 6.5 Creedmore with one bullet.
Who do you wound with it?

What we have here is a problem of preparation and execution. But I'd probably hang on to my last round, crack a beverage, and ponder the circle of life and the order of operations.

For proper initial OB tier ranking, please post photos of your most recent pond build.

Stock tanks count, right?
Also, why is it such a pain in the arse to reply/quote? I'm gonna assume that web 1.0 is part of the charm and go with it.

"Budget" is relative, but I'd have to say the best pre-bankruptcy model 700 I could afford.
