How are you feeling about our NC chances now after 7 games?

I didn't get upset after the USCW loss because I had no expectations starting the season. I didn't expect us to challenge this year so my hopes were never up admittedly.
But man after taking care of Ole Miss and keeping Arkansas at bay for majority of the game + the remainder of our schedule not looking as tough as it once did. I'm becoming cautiously optimistic of what this team can do. This weekend will definitely give us more insight on how the SEC will pan out. What makes this season different is there's no clear cut favorite like we're used to seeing.
Just doing a half way temp check on you baws. How yall feeling?

I think they need to focus on a game at a time

It's Atlanta and playoffs or bust at this point
A home playoff game would be magnificent (although I obviously prefer the SECT, #1 seed and BYE)

The playoffs are a grind if you don't get that 1st week bye... We need to keep winning so we can get a little extra time off.

I agree this team can't afford to look ahead past any opponent. Every game will be a battle. But winnable battles!

I don’t think we are a championship team quite yet. We’ll see in these next 2 games.
We are a playoff team though so that is a big improvement from last year.

It's a 2 game season. Survive the road test, then be ready to dominate vs Bama. The rest will take care of itself.

The defense can keep LSU in every game. They've gotten better every single game and now the offense is starting to come together. It'll all come down to Nuss.
I like the chances of getting into the playoff after Atlanta at this point. The tiebreakers to get there will be squirrely though.

Didn’t LSU finish the season ranked 13th last season?

The Texas A&M game will tell alot. Win that game and it puts you in the discussion.

Our team has flaws, but so does every other team so anything is possible. Not having the bye would make it extremely difficult in my opinion.
With that being said, they need to focus on a one-game season every game from here on out. While we definitely can win the remaining games, we could just as easily drop a couple if the team is looking ahead and not focused.

Isn't it amazing that we're talking about our defense keeping us in every game. Just hope we can keep this staff a few years

Pretty good. I expect a 4-1 finish at this point
quote:BK said judge him on year 3 and it looks like lsu even has a game to spare where we’d still be in ATL even at 10-2 (7-1) so I’d be upset if we went 9-3 again just missing out on ATL and the playoffs

Yeah that’s not a playoff team…

Not sure how anyone says this. All remaining teams have winning records.
AT A&M
Bama will be tough as always.
AT Florida will be a battle
Vandy and OK will come into TS battle tested..
No gimmies on the schedule. All winnable, but no gimmies.

We have some tough games ahead of us. We can win them all and we can just as easily lose them all. That's 100% the truth! Vandy isn't a bad team, fla is playing better with Lagway, Bama still is a good team, OU could put something together. And AandM is going to be tough
To make it out of there. I'm praying we run the table and continue to grow and get better

Same.
I don't think this a national championship team.
I thought before the season LSU could go 3-1 in SEC road games and 3-1 in SEC home games. A&M always appeared to be the (likely) toughest of the 4 road games and they haven't played that one yet.
I assumed they would split the Ole Miss & Alabama home games, with Ole Miss being the most likely of the two. That has happened, but the Alabama game has yet to be played.
I felt the USC game was a "fulcrum" game between 9-3 and a possible 10-2 record. Obviously, LSU lost that one. So if I had to bet today I would say 9-3 is still the most likely record.
That being said, IF LSU gets a win this weekend my preseason outlook will start to change. They will have secured the 3 road wins with only Florida left. I still won't think this is a NC team, but 10-2 starts to become a much more real possibility.

If the defense keeps improving and the offense can continue to run the ball like they did against arky then they can compete with anyone in the country.
Realistically I don’t think the depth is there for a playoff run but they will be a tough out for anyone.

Still low, but it's exciting nonetheless
