Who has the best rates in BR?
Posted on 10/21/24 at 8:31 am to Jim bean xxx
GM is offering 6.2% for 72 months with excellent credit
My credit union is usually lower than every where else but even they are around 6% best rate right now for 72 months.
Not sure what term you are looking at?

Checkout signature credit union. Just financed through them over the weekend. Had a bike loan with them already and they have some great rates!

got 3.9 on a new Honda back in July

TD Auto is down to 5.09% up to 75 months, otherwise there are some incentivized rates out there but beware in what you give up in rebates for it. Credit unions can't touch direct lending at the moment

Penfed Credit Union has been the best rates I've found in the past.

PenFed is the correct answer. I think they are in the mid 4s. They are super easy to work with too.

Are you sure about this? I'm wondering if it is only if you go through their dealer network that you will get a rate in the 4's.
I am a member, have a 810 credit score, and applied just this week for an auto loan. I was quoted at 6.4% for a 60 month loan of $45K.

Yeah it looks like the lower rate is for their new car buying service.
This is regular new car:

We just bought a technically 'used' car last month (dealer loaner , 4500 miles) and the rate from BofA was 5.79 for 72 months. We have no intention of making payments, but that was easiest way to do a deal that day.

Got a year left on my 0% loan from Genesis. December 2020 was a great time to buy a car.

Always check special financing from manufacturer first.
We got 1.49%/36 mo on certified pre-owned Acura earlier this summer.

Every major bank is in the range that bubba posted. We won't see real rate drops for the next 12-15 months.
