Geaux if you can. Limited out last three trips on trout and redfish. Best time of year when these early cold fronts come in. Fish respond by trying to fatten up, and it's almost feeding freezy-type shite.

Left at noon yesterday to catch some rat reds for a buddy, caught limit in 1 hour and a half, another 1/2 dozen trout all over 2 pounds by accident, a nice flounder, and a few big sheephead, Zero catfish, zero under or oversized, didn't break a sweat or lose a rig. Back home by 3. And that was really just fricking around. Week before was ridiculous and left at 1pm.

Wish I could go everyday. Not many boats out just fish

We went last week and caught a bunch of specks north of Grand Isle. Most would have been legal last year.

Yes but was in Mobile bay. We caught almost every cast today, at 6 different spots on everything under a cork in Mississippi Sound. Ended up with only 12 keeper trout, but would have limited out if we could keep 14 inch trout. Must have thrown back 40 of them. The white trout were an absolute menace everywhere. Probably caught over 100 keep a few dozen. If you are in BSL take the kids put on fish bites and plastic or live shrimp and you can catch every cast for hours. It’s not fishing it’s catching

Didn't LDWF put a stop on keeping flounder not too long ago to try to help the population grow???

Honestly with as hot as it is I might go fishing next Friday instead of go sweat in the woods and see nothing.

It’s about as good as I’ve ever seen it

Plastics, top water , night on the dock, at the trestle, in the lake, falling tide, rising tide… all good

OP is not fishing in Louisiana. Other states have different regs when it comes to seasons or creel limits.

I saw a post of 3 limits caught at the islands on plastic. I doubt you need to go all the way out there to catch them though.

Trout all over Dularge. Got to weed through a few short ones to get a limit.

Here at Lake Texoma, the cormorants have started arriving. And when they're here, it's the easiest fishing on Texoma you can get.

The birds will lead you to the shad, which lead you to the stripers.

It's also the easiest time of the year to catch and keep shad alive. I caught shad at 5 pm and kept them frisky until I went fishing at 1 pm the enemy day. With these temps, if your bait tank has good filtration, you can keep them alive for days. I have a Creek Bank tank i retrofitted with Extreme filter socks and it's on point.

Do you fish that area regularly? I'd love to pick your brain. Just started, and I can't seem to find the fish...

Yeah I fish it weekly when I can. Right now all you need to do is go buy a bunch of live shrimp, set up with adjustable cork rig and hit all the oyster reefs.

They are killing at bayou Caddy too. Water is beautiful right now buddy caught a pompano there today.

Went to Delacroix yesterday. Got a few trout and a few small reds at a couple of my spots inside. Then went to Belle Island in Black Bay. Got our 2 man limit of specks quickly. Live shrimp mostly but some on plastic. Then went to a cut on the other side of the island and got 4 nice reds. Shrimp were jumping all around.
