What do you do when your wife hates your friend’s wife?

Hypothetically….. Say it’s a guy you have been good friends with since college. Your wife hates his wife and refuses to go to their house or even go out in a group with them. You can’t really tell your friend that your own wife is a bitch and hates his wife. (I’m not ruling out that your friend’s wife might be a contemptible human being and that you don’t want to be around her either.) Eventually your friend gets exasperated with you and stops calling.
Put another way, why do women ruin everything?
Surely the OT has encountered this situation and has advice. Asking for a friend, of course.

If your wife loves you and understands that you're truly friends with him she will put up with the friend's wife as much as possible

We all know women like that. Most of us can suck it up for one night for a dinner and some drinks. It would be easier if there was another couple there and the 3rd wife was easier to be around.

Yes, try and hang out as a group setting if that wife will be there. Otherwise hang out with your friend golfing. Im sure your wife would love to go do something else instead.

You talk to your friend and convince him to divorce his wife and marry a friend of your wife. It is pretty much the only solution.
