Tired of all the posturing, have some balIs. It can't be a trap game when everyone is yelling "It's a TRAP Game". This Arkansas team has been talked up way too much, and for what? To make ourselves feel better like we're not falling for the 'trap'? Get a grip bros.

There are no trap games for a team that isn't of high enough caliber to trip up.

If you've made it this far into the year and haven't realized we will be in a dog fight every game, I don't know what to tell you.

We're a good team. We're getting better. But we shouldn't be allowed to throw around the word trap game. This will just be another tough SEC game we can win, probably should win, and hopefully will win.

There’s no such thing as a “trap game” with this team. Every game from here on out will be a war to the very last minute.

That being said, I will be absolutely ecstatic if this team manages to go 2-1 against Bama, Arkansas, and A&M. If this team manages to go 10-2 this year, they will be easily ranked in the top 10 and guaranteed a spot in the CFP. But by that same token, I won’t be shocked if we drop several more games.

This will be a tough match-up that I can assure you LSU doesn’t think of it as a trap. LSU could go 3-3 or 6-0 for the rest of the season. Every game could be won or lost for that matter considering Vandy isn’t a pencil in win.

Even when LSU should have easily won games against Arky, they are usually nail biters.
Petrino, like him or not, is an excellent play caller. They have a really solid Oline and running game. They will be successful running the ball this week. It’ll be a question of tackling and coverage.
LSU’s offense will need to be better against them than Ole Miss because there will be less opportunities to score ie TOP.

This could be a lot like the USCe game. Arky has a very good defense and is capable of bringing some pressure. Offensively they run the ball well and Green is a much better runner than passer (56% 5/5 TD/INT) but he does throw a lot more than Sellers.

LSU just can't fall behind early and expect to come back again. I hope we go on defense first (BK?). The D has it's swagger back and could be a tone setter against a team that doesn't put up a lot of points.

First off, the Arky defense isn’t as good as Ole Miss’s. And, the Arky offense definitely isn’t.

That being said, it’s a road game and will be hard to win. That is all. The team will have to be well prepared and play that way. If they are doing that, we should win that game.

Correct statement, take Arky out the game early. We need a fast start on Saturday no more 3 and outs after you elect to receive.

Not a trap game so much as a potential let-down game. Can LSU recover from the emotional victory over Ole Miss in time? Coaching staff has its work cut out maki g sure the team is laser focused on Arky.

I don’t think it’s a trap game by definition but yeah we have to get up for this one no doubt. We cannot have any let down at all. Coaches have to keep these guys focused especially after all the attention the last win is getting on social media etc.

If we play with the same discipline and solid tackling we did vs OM, they will not run the ball enough to win the game. That’s the key.

If he is still slowed from the bone bruise, they will have a much harder time. If he can’t run effectively, their offense isn’t the same. And even when he’s at full strength he’s susceptible to turning the ball over.

Can’t wait for lsu to inevitably fall behind I the first half and the announcers to say “maybe they’re looking ahead to…”

Have you seen this team play this year? I’d be far more shocked to see them come out and go up 35-0. Would be awesome, but not likely.

Nah this isn’t the trap game.

Playing away at A&M before Bama, that’s the real trap game.

College station will be rocking for that. It will be our toughest away game. I think we take care of business against arky. A&M will be a GD dog fight right before bama.

It isn't a trap game!

Arkansas is a formidable opponent, especially on the road. They are playing well, and coming off a big win over a team many considered to be a NC contender.

If LSU goes in with good effort on D, we will win a tough one. I have full confidence in our offense, and it sounds like we are getting Daniels back at the Slot, so that is a bonus. Hopefully Durham is full speed. I do believe that the confidence that Nuss gained in that game against a top 10 opponent will do wonders for him, and I expect him to pull it down a few times this week and run for a first down....the sooner he does that, the sooner the pass defense against him gets a little softer.

LOL. A&M may be ranked higher than Alabama this time next week. A&M is most definitely not a trap game as they will be ranked top 15, if not knocking on the door of top 10. There are no trap games remaining. Every single team poses a threat, including Florida, who appears to be playing better.

pretty good summary until you got here. Arkansas does not have even close to the firepower of Ole Miss, on either side of the ball. Not saying it will be an easy game, at all, just saying OM is MUCH better than them. I honestly feel OM is one of the top 5 talented teams in the nation and wouldn't surprise me if they ran the table, including beating Ga in Oxford.
