Disagree. If you are reliant on government for financial assistance, the cost is that you forfeit your vote.

Stupid and archaic idea.

Wouldn’t be opposed to a policy of only net givers to the government getting a vote though.

My thinking is that is usually older / elderly people but I really don’t know that much about it.

Why? If you owned a business would give everyone a vote on business decisions?

They'd loophole around it.

Some prog Dim (Gates, Soros, etc.) would buy up thousands of acres and gift everyone in blue areas with one square inch of land, making them eligible to vote.

That's how we started off. People started owning small percentages of land to game the system.

I propose a minimum 3.5 acres ownership in order to vote.

Should be limited to net tax contributors: Those who pay in more than they get out.

I think that would be easy enough to game that system. One square foot of land would make you a landowner. I think you should have to show that you are a net taxpayer. If you get more money from the federal government than you pay in taxes, no voting privileges. Excluding retirees, of course.

Should only be taxpayers.

Owning land is meaningless.
Lots of losers inherit land yet pay no taxes.

Government would then divide up public property and deed a square inch to every deadbeat democrat dependent to make them all landowners and voters.

Almost every homeowner receives government assistance via Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. Folks with NFIP flood policies are also receiving gov't subsidized flood insurance...

Tell me more. I need some big government to come in and pay part of my mortgage.

You mean outright land owners and not mortgage note holders?

Wouldn't be a lot of folks voting.

We really shouldn't be letting the "have nots" vote for what they want to taken from the "haves" and given to themselves.

40% pay no income taxes. This is a serious problem.
