It’s time we acknowledge Nuss as one of the all-time great LSU passers.

Was he perfect last night? No. But the poise he showed at the end of the game to drive us down the field, including that absolute DOT to force OT was a thing of beauty. The overtime tud was a play run to absolute perfection. Watching Endgame Nuss carve up the Ole Miss defense was like watching Aaron Judge step up to the plate before launching a ball 485 feet to dead center. That kind of clutch and killer instinct can’t be taught. Let’s take a moment to appreciate what we have…we got ourselves a great one.

I recognize him as a great qb.
Not as one of our all-time greats. Not yet.

You won't get that on here by a number of posters...but the poise he showed last night after a rough game (inexplicably throwing deep passes all night had to not just be on Nuss) and his ability to come through with the game on the line was huge. His last two passes were darts (no pun intended) for TDs.....and he finally ran the ball in a critical situation. Let's hope he begins to do that regularly....this should have been one hell of a confidence booster for him last night, and similar to when JB got laid out against Central Florida that game, got up, and never looked back. I just wish we had Nuss for one more year with this defense emerging.

I do not acknowledge this.

I love Nuss, but really? You’re already putting the “great” label on him. If he is great, what was Tommy Hodson, Rohan Davey, Joe Burrow, Jayden Daniels? Hell, Josh Booty was all SEC one year. What were those guys?
Maybe Nuss can grow into greatness, but it’s a little early, yes?

It's funny you left out the 3rd best (surpassed only last year) LSU QB of all time

Reading is difficult?
I said hes great, not all-time great. Aka, no i would not mention him in the same breath as the qb’s you listed… that was my point.
Among qb’s right now, within this season? Yea hes a really good / great qb. Im glad we have him.

OP made this thread on the rant after his thread on Saints Talk didn't go as well as he had hoped.
He's trying to rally support on here, likely to find arguments/points to use in the Saints Talk thread.

He has potential
Let him get a full season under belt before we stick him on any lists

Nuss is tough, and is a gamer, and has a fun arm.
Dude is far from an all-time great passer.
I like him, but he has a lot of tuning up to do to get into that convo. He makes some amazing throws and then way too many boneheaded low percentage throws, especially throwing off of his back foot frequently

Nuss made some excellent throws last night.
But his completion percentage was 43%. That's ugly.
He also threw two interceptions.
I'm glad he's our QB. Tough kid. Terrific QB.

This is a terrible trait I'd like to see him clean up.
