- If this defense starts to believe that they can do this to anyone, not just Ole Miss, we are looking at a SERIOUS contender squad.

- What you witnessed tonight was a team that had a game plan, stuck to it, and made minor adjustments to match what was ultimately a chess match between coordinators on both sides of the ball.

- Mississippi played their asses off, but this defense could possibly have “gelled” altogether, all at once tonight.

- Say what you want about his play calling, but one thing is for damn sure… Sloane threw his nuts on the table time after time by trusting Nuss with the ball. Repeatedly. Habitually.

- Ole Miss was always going to be a grind of a game, but Sloane trusted his boy Nuss, and Nuss delivered when it mattered most. (Gracias Karen Lacy for adjusting to the back-shoulder throw.)

I lost count of times he trusted Nuss at 5 in the second half. He didn’t deliver all the time, but he damn sure made some tip money tonight!

- Shout out to Coach Baker calling a fantastic game and calling our secondary out to the biggest challenge they have had all season… and boy did they rise!!

- Great win! Maybe in my Top 5-10 GOAT wins/games ever played in Tiger Stadium, should we look like we did tonight for the foreseeable future. Even the broadcast was impartial and enticing despite the ad breaks.

It was a good game. The defense flat dragged their nuts across Ole Miss almost all night and the offense, though not perfect by any means, did make the clutch plays they had to make.

The Rant needs to give some love up to Major Burns. He played a hell of a hame tonight & that’s certainly not his norm.

You have to trust your QB when the run game isn't working. It helps when you actually have talent at the position, like LSU has had for the last 6 years. There were many games Les lost that he should have won if he had QB worthy of trust. There was nothing worse than a Les Miles football game when we couldn't run the ball.

our running game is non existent. It’s great that the defense is playing well though.

I have this super power where if I go to bed in the 3rd quarter LSU ends up winning.

He did play well, as did Swinson. But Zy & Whit went next level out there. Super proud of the whole D and happy for Blake. Great job gents.

we won't play a better offensive team the rest of the season....and I'm not sure we will play a better defense......OM had more talent last night, I don't think that can be denied (outside of the OL pass blocking)....but our heart won out, and Lane K and OM, are Lane K and OM.........I wouldn't count OM out yet though.

The D is gaining confidence.

Nuss gets to about the 25 and wants to take only end zone shots. That resulted in a few FG attempts last night, but he hit when it counted.

If Nuss could make himself a plausible threat to run sporadically, I think it would open up space for our RBs.

It drives me crazy that they run a read option with a QB that won’t run. That is a terrible play without the threat of the QB keeping it.

If you saw a replay of the game tying touchdown pass, it was amazing. Nuss threw the ball long before the break and hit the receiver right in the hands. It takes lots of guts to throw to a spot on fourth down and the game in the balance.
