Three college football fanatics coming to LSU to experience the finest environment in college football. My two sons and I are coming from Michigan and Colorado to see LSU / Ole Miss game this Saturday. Can anyone invite us to their tailgate to show us LSU's best? We'll show up with bourbon for the host.

Wear shirts from the universities you went to. Go to the bookstore/sports shop and buy LSU hats. Check out tailgates. People will notice you're not from here.

Agree and many will gladly make you feel like you've been friends for years.

Come to touchdown village 2 (RV lot), look for the purple school bus that says “The Unsupervised Bus”. Ask for Dave or Troy. We got ya!

Just walk by and say something like, “that smells good.” That works too!

Going to need a Pappy 23 and a Stagg Hazmat for entrance to my tailgate.

Absolutely do this. They are fantastic host. Partied there for the Arkansas game last year.

If you have your own drinks you can just walk up to any tailgate, say it’s your first time/tell them your story and ask what they are cooking…you’ll make plenty of friends
Here’s my advice from a previous thread:
Chimes Friday evening, get there early afternoon and walk around campus a bit before going there. There’s a shop across the street for gear (Louisiana and LSU) if you want.
Saturday morning wake up and head to Zippys or any daiquiri shop and get a large one to go, head to campus and sip on that all morning (along with your bourbon for later). I only say this because daiquiris are delicious, easier to carry than a bunch of beer, and having your own drink in hand when approaching tailgates makes you not appear as a “moocher”
I’d wear your normal teams gear not LSU gear, walk around and tell people it’s your first LSU football game and ask them what they are cooking or say “that smells awesome can I see?” Almost all will invite you in, show you their setup, feed you, and tell you where to head next (if you don’t get invited by someone in this group). LSU fans want to show off and tailgates truly are more communal than other places.
Early afternoon make your way towards the stadium and check out Mikes habitat, check him out then line up in front of the PMAC close to the street (be first row if possible) to watch the team and band march down the hill.
Check out of a few more tailgates near the Indian Mounds then head in to the game. You don’t want to miss pregame.
Have fun, pace yourself, and dont have a voice when you’re done
If you want to keep the party going after the game, Walk Ons or Fred’s

Looks like you’ve got some good invites. We always are willing to have a few extra people

You might want to give him the parking spot number. Just a thought.
I hope the coffin of beer is still around.

Corner of Nicholson Dr and Skip Bertman Dr.
Hoppy’s corner. Right across the street from the stadium.

Just walk around man. You will certainly be welcomed by a lot of people to come hang out, eat, and drink.
Very friendly tailgate experience

Reply back Sunday or Monday on how it went, especially your reaction when the GBFTL marched out pre-game and played Hold That Tiger to N, S, E and W sections of the stadium.

Head to the RV Lot near the Softball Field and look for "Krewe of Misfit Tigers". They will welcome the Bourbon and know how to Tailgate Right!
