Im taking my daughter to Branson for Fall Break next weekend and was planning on going about halfway (from BR) right after school.
Any towns along this route yall recommend staying just for the night? I dont know if we'll make it all the way to Little Rock.

Not Pine Bluff. Just make it to Little Rock if you can.

Made that trip this summer but don’t have any recommendations for you in n where to but the VP Racing Fuels gas station in Pine Bluff has some of the best gas station food I’ve ever seen. It’s off 530 and 63.

I'm going to assume you're her mother because any respectable father would just drive the 9 hours and get there in 1 day. With that being said, I wouldn't take the route posted, even though the trip is about 30min longer, go through Shreveport. You can stay on main interstates for the majority of your trip and not have to go through 2 lane roads winding through the country side and slowing down all the time to go through small towns, that's how I would tell my wife to go. If you can drive for 6.5 hours, stay in Hot Springs, it's a cool little place to check out if you haven't already been there. Caddo Valley has a few nice places to stay right off the interstate as well if you dont want to go to Hot Springs.

my parents live in ark and have a weekend place in pelsor, I’ve made that drive up 65 dozens of times. There is nothing (zero) worth stopping for or staying at between Vicksburg and Little Rock. Go all the way to Little Rock or as the poster above me says, go a different route and stay in hot springs

Thanks for that. We will push through.
Any areas to stay around Little Rock? Preferably on the south side?

Monticello is not a bad town. I’ve never stayed a night there but would if I needed to. If you can get to Little Rock you will pass right through the downtown area. There are some nice hotels there and restaurants too.

If you take alternate route through Ruston (cool college town) up to El
Dorado, El Dorado has a very cool
downtown scene (funded by Murphy Oil) and nice hotels.

Several options downtown. Marriott, Capital Hotel, Courtyard, Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Residence Inn.

I've never had any issues staying at the Holiday Inn Express on the north side of Pine Bluff. We have stayed several times on the way down from Springfield.

If you want to live a little, stay in Bastrop.
