My only hope here is that just like Katrina where in the immediate aftermath it was suspected that thousands had perished, that many of the people currently listed as missing will turn up.

But I think it’s pretty clear the death toll here will continue to climb.

You laugh but they really are. I’m following one gal now that found a body wrapped up in a rug buried in her yard (not storm related).

But would anyone really be surprised? The amount of water pushing houses and vehicles down those mountains was enormous.

I wouldn’t be surprised. They won’t likely check every car or house. Many I’m guessing are covered/buried in mud and inaccessible.

Reminds me of true detective season 1 when Rust was talking about how the killer had a really good year after Katrina

Seems like potential for lawless psychopath heaven since we have no government

My daughter worked at that hospital all summer.
What a truly horrific tragedy this is.

The police have a crime investigation unit in her back yard with a backhoe now

Just saw a lean ex-military type guy posting on YouTube who was personally working with other civilians to assist local LE and S&R. He was told by a LE they found three bodies tied together and tangled up in some trees. A mother and her two children. A bear trying to get to them attracted the attention of the S&R team.

Would that surprise you? The death toll in this is going to exceed 3,000 I’m guessing.

I had an argument online yesterday (a brief one before I blocked the idiot). I said I wouldn’t be surprised if the death toll eventually topped 2,000 since there are hundreds still missing and bodies may never be found. He kept linking Biden administration posts from FEMA, etc.

I don’t believe anything this administration says.

No

It would surprise me if bodies are falling from trees left and right

I got called to deliver a refrigerated trailer to the top of Estes Park and a trailer to the bottom. Bodies were being found everywhere.......and that was one flash flood. If things are worse than originally thought ....Bodies will be found for years.

I didn’t see her claim that bodies were falling out of trees left and right.

I think you embellished that.

There will most certainly be bodies stuck in trees.
