Vance v Walz Debate Thread - with intro thoughts

We need a thread
Here are my thoughts
1-Debate has new import bc of WNC, WWIII and Union Strike.
2-This never changes anyone’s mind but it will be particularly satisfying to watch Vance. Even if the propagandists the DNC hired to moderate don’t ask anything about point 1, the best thing about Vance is his ability to find a way to uses point 1 as examples of how incompetent and disastrous the current clown show has proven to be.
3-I’m disgusted about the WNC issue - particularly bc Zelensky showed up over here last wk with his hands out signing bombs. I cant be the only American woman grossed out about this. I hope Vance hammers them on this.
4-I think Vance wins handily it he mentions the idiocy goin on foreign policy wise but if he keeps his focus on actual Americans
5-It will be delicious to watch Vance bc he stays on message and doesn’t lose his temper about stupid shite like the orange one. Walz - is going to screw up and lose HIS mind start flailing his arms like an epileptic marionette and it’s going to be glorious.

JD has been waiting for this moment.... for all his life.
Really confident that he's going to crush it. Praying he has clarity of mind and that his non verbal communications are as favourable as his words to every swayable voter.
I know that VP debates generally don't hold much water, but something is telling me tonight will be an impactful in ways that we haven't seen.

He's been very good at this in interviews and I'm confident it will translate to this debate (unlike with DeSantis in the primaries). I just hope his mannerisms look good - sometimes that's hard to predict and prepare for.

I can't stand him at all. Especially when that stolen valor stuff surfaced.
I have family who definitely experienced combat and it's not something you brag about. You get mentally screwed up whether it's a little or a lot. It's not something anyone wants.

You know they’re going to ask Vance about his cat lady comments because the Democrats’ strategy this election is women. They will also ask him about Haitians eating cats in Ohio. But the questions will be attacking; they will probably push back and argue with him.
I expect they may (they may not) ask Walz about his stolen valor because they see it as a weak point that Walz needs to shore up. So, the question will be a softball that allows him to deliver his prepared response. There will be no pushback, they will not argue with him. They will probably frame the question as an attack on Republicans, something like “what do you say to Republicans who criticize your military service” that sets him as a victim rather than a liar and allows him to narrate.
Let’s see if these predictions come to pass.
