I wonder if there will be people going to see this who aren't aware of the original film or its 1979 remake, and don't realize that it's a retelling of Dracula.

A lot of younger people will know of nosferatu from his brief cameo in an iconic SpongeBob episode

Really? I thought it was pretty well known that for the most part, nosferatu = dracula

It looks similar to Herzog's Nosferatu The Vampyre, with a little of Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula thrown in. It doesn't seem to cover any new ground. My guess is that it is a story told only through a women's eyes. We'll see how good it is.

Reviews starting to come out for this one. A lot of reviewers say it's his weakest movie. Sucks to hear but it sounds like we should temper expectations

Really? RT has it at 93% presently based on the early critic reviews.

The reviews I have seen say it's not perfect but it's still a solid film despite its shortcomings in certain areas. There are some subplots in the movie that reviewers say are unnecessary to the overall story.

Bloody Disgusting gave it 5 skulls

I’ve heard the opposite. Depp is getting Oscar nom talk and a couple reviewers I’ve watched said it’s incredible and completely unique.
