Will be in the area Friday with my daughter for the CoffeeCon..Looking for something near there that won't require too much thought. Her "favorite" place in BTR is Chow-Yum, so bonus points if along those lines..Honestly, just looking for something nice/decent that we won't regret on the drive back home

Friend,

If Chow Yum is Asian fusion, and you want Asian food in the Warehouse District, you’re not going to find much. Sushi Takumi is decent and open for lunch. But I cannot think of any other Asian restaurants in the neighborhood.

Drago’s in The Hilton is dependable and I’ve never heard someone regret eating there. Butcher is okay if you want an okay sandwich and is open at lunch. The best restaurant nearby is Herbsaint and they do lunch. Too bad August does not serve lunch anymore. Their lunch specials especially during the summer months were great.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Cochon Butcher would be my choice in that area but its not brunch

Bearcat would be a good option as previously mentioned

Assuming yall are big coffee people, definitely pop into Bearcat Baked on Julia for a coffee. You can get food there too, but it’s counter service.

Mammoth Espresso is supposed to be great as well, but I’ve yet to go. Also notable, Nova out of Mobile took over Revelator next door to St James Cheese.

I have been to both Dian Xin locations, both in the FQ. I love the original. Love it. Didn't love 2

You think Sun Chong is a better idea on that side of the 1/4? Menu looks amazing. House Rules are a bit strange. Are reservations tough?

The Grill Room in the Windsor Court has some pretty good lunch specials. Food and martinis.

I don't know how to put this. The people that go to this chef's restaurants are in general not the crowd that posts on here.

I'm sure Sun Chong is fine though.

Hey, you can avoid that automatic gratuity if you're by yourself, though.

After looking at Larry Morrow’s Instagram…I understand your reference. I also understand why it’s auto-gratuity. Bold statement about his own culture.
