Remember all those people who said Daniels was a "lackluster" heisman winner?

I'm not talking about LSU fans, but people nationally. You can really tell that none of those people actually watched us play because Daniels dismantled every team we played and made it look easy. Now he's doing the same thing at the next level. "Lackluster" my arse.......

I saw quite a few people saying that he was stat padding and that he was the worst heisman winner in a long time. It wasn't the prevailing opinion but a shocking number of people were saying that.

Local guys from BR had to post campaigns with all kinds of research from past heismans in comparison to Daniels to get people to understand. Some of those guys were going viral big time because of it.
Different media from across the country was trying to discredit him because of team losses.

Daniels was very deserving and obviously proved tonight how talented he is.
It is also fair to say that his stats last year were off the charts partially because our defense sucked and he had to be incredible every game.
The flip side is, he was incredible every game.

I recall that a lot of LSU fans were critical of him and constantly asking for Nuss. No one will probably admit that now though.

I would like to know that too. Much of the national media tried to pump up Nix, Penix, or Williams just to pretend it was a race. I feel like that was abandoned in favor of pumping Williams as the future #1 pick when it became pretty obvious it was gonna be JD.
I saw more national guys saying it would be a sham if JD did not win than I saw pumping any other player or suggesting it was only because of a lackluster QB year.
