Went back a couple pages and didn't see it posted.

Trump looked like a boss as he sat at a farming conference in PA in front of a JD tractor telling them he finna slap a 200% tariff if they try and sell their Mexican tractors in the U.S.

frick Deere. Not only are they moving to Mexico but they are woke as frick too.

John Deere has had a lot of operations in MX for years. That is nothing new but I think they are trying to expand operations in MX.

I and some partners had an office in Torreón and when we would go down there we would see John Deere execs from the USA at our hotel. They also told us John Deere had a strict policy that they were only allowed to go to the factory and back to the hotel due to the cartel.

I believe this to be an unfair statement.

When US goods and services and even labor become too expensive, companies like Deere are looking to lower their bottom line so they move production out of the country.

You can blame the government for not creating the proper business environment for US corporations to thrive.

If it takes a Mexican tractor company $100k to build a similar model tractor but if Deere builds it here it may cost $150k. Why? Because local/state/fedgov didn’t foster conditions for Deere to be successful.

But I wholeheartedly agree they are woke af and can go out of business for all I care.

I hope he keeps throttling Deere, Ford and GM. They are all hypocrites, and I’m glad I drive Toyota.

Goods and services too high for them to take in millions of dollars every year? This is nothing but increasing the profit margin

Problem is we need JD here and heavy tariffs on exports. Brazil and other large farming operations to the south buy JD and Case tractors then farm cheaper land with less restrictions and sell back to the US at prices American farmers can’t compete with

The US government does not create proper business environments for US enterprises, they destroy it, hence the exodus over the last 75 years.

You people have got to understand that the federal government does not "create" anything, they only frick things up and then create a solution that further exasperates unhealthy business environs, healthcare, etc.

Why is this so hard to understand that your worldview violates the very basic tenets of our economic model?

Frick um’ expand the chicken tax and lower taxes on any foreign brand vehicle made in the USA. These shite stain companies used our tax dollars to be bailed out and then in return moved to Mexico. Let them burn. And fricke Deere and their right to repair strongholds.

Surely you have some stocks that are down? Sell them at the same time to cancel your JD profits. Then buy something similar to the loser stock you sold so that you can still take advantage of any rebound that might occur.

Example: If you have $10,000 of JD gains and $10,000 of JP Morgan Chase losses in shares valuing $100,000, sell both and buy $100,000 of Morgan Stanley or Wells Fargo.

That may be true (and Trump would be the first person to say we’ve got to lower taxes and regulations to make US companies more competitive). However, they’re not passing that savings on to the buyer. They’re putting it in their pockets and buying third and fourth vacation homes and luxury cars.

Instead of tariff promises, he should go after Deere for how they screw farmers. Their stuff is mega expensive and they have absurd policies on fixing their stuff that costs farmers a ton of money.

The answer here is to go to Russia, Germany, and other nations and tell them that they'll get great deals on taxes and such if they bring solid equipment to the US market for cheap prices. There's a German company, Claas iirc, and they make extraordinary farm equipment. Due to the war in Ukraine the German industrial capacity is getting eroded. We really need to prevent that. It presents a good opportunity for US farmers to get good stuff and the world should not lose German engineering and production quality. They are exceptional.

Not to mention in the heavy equipment category, their machines, specifically their dozer and excavator rails/pads and rollers are cheap metal. I don’t know anything about the Ag tractors, but their heavy equipment sucks.

Fine.

Then let people feel the pain of these terrible policies.

All off-shoring does is delay the pain felt from these policies, so people don't knee-jerk reject them, and allows time for them to seep into every sector of every beurocracy and corporate HR department.

Force the American consumers and the corporations to feel the pain immediately from terrible policy... maybe all the sudden John Deere isn't so woke anymore and maybe John Deere is helping get better canidates elected to repeal the shitty policy instead of helping Democrats.

Democrats love to pass shitty policy, and device smoke and mirrors measures to off set the pain temporarily, to create confusion and delays in the consequences of their actions.
