Movies/TV shows cancelled or delayed due to real life

From time to time a show or a movie’s writer or writing team is so on point they predict some kind of natural disaster or something and then the release is delayed or the production is cancelled because it was too “close to home”…
I feel like I’ve heard of a few shows, for different reasons, are in this boat…
Something about the Israeli/Palestine conflict? Or Ukraine? Or the show “Hijack” because of some hijacking or…?
I’m sure there’s a bunch

Spider-Man 2002 had a little editing because of 9-11. I think the original poster had the world trade center reflecting in his eyes too.

Mr Robot had the season 1 finale delayed a week because of a scene that was reminiscent of a shooting in real life.

Winston Groom wrote a sequel where Forrest encountered the Oklahoma City bombers.
The script landed on an executive's desk on September 10, 2001.

Not cancelled or delayed, but In The Greatest American Hero the hero had his named changed from Ralph Hinkley to Ralph Hanley after the Hinkley assassination attempt on Reagan. That was a great show for a while.

The original plot for the Flagsmashers in The Falcon and the Winter Solider was to release a virus to kill 50% of the population to return to post-snap conditions. Not the best plot for a Disney+ show at the peak of covid so they did a rewrite.

CBS pulled an FBI episode due to the school shooting in Texas.
They never aired it, but was available through streaming.

Schools shootings are some of the FBI's most consistent work.

The movie “The Watch” was renamed from “Neighborhood Watch” just before release due to the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin neighborhood watch shooting.

Top Gun Maverick was delayed due to Covid. They kept asking Cruise to release it on streaming but he wouldn’t have it. Said it had been decades coming so another year or so wouldn’t hurt. Which was great because this delay was probably the most impactful in reviving the movie theater after Covid.
