I’ll be in Tuscon mid November for a conference. Anything cool to do/see in the area? Any good eats? TIA

The golf courses are fantastic in Oro Valley I think and Mount Lemon.. Saguaro National Park and hiking others in the desert. South of town is the town of Tombstone Az.

Day trip to Tombstone. Pay the extra fee to visit The Birdcage. Stop be Boot Hill cemetery.

Everything else in Tucson is just food stops.

It’s Tucson.

Tombstone is a tourist trap but worth seeing just so you can tell people you went.

Starr Pass is great golf if you play.

There’s good food there for sure but I haven’t been recently enough to make specific recs.

Legal weed. Even if you aren’t into that, I went and walked through one of the big dispensary’s just to see how they operate. It’s a serious operation.

Tucson has incredible Sonoran food. Rollies is one of my favorites. Good recs from others already on Saguaro, Mt. Lemon and such.

Drive out to Sonoita to the wineries. Dos Cabezas is terrific and the pizza truck out back is memorable. It is really quiet out there and far enough that you may need a DD if you have too much, probably can't walk or uber back to town.

Supposedly the pizza truck has a parent restaurant in town that also has good pizza.

Mt. Lemon is one of the prettiest areas I've seen with my own eyes.

Not sure of the exact spot, but we watched the sunset on hill at Saguaro National Park and it was almost too picturesque.
