I saw this image in the comments.

Can the SEC not admit any wrongdoing? They are essentially telling us to not believe our eyes when we have visual proof that is counter to what they are saying is the reason there was a no call. What is wrong with just saying "the game moves fast and sometimes we miss things and will try to get better." Otherwise, are we just supposed to change the way we defend punts?

They won’t admit an error by the official. No surprise there.

They still haven't accepted PP7 being inbounds

Our blocker’s helmet is in between the 4 and 4 of #44. Looks like #44 is smack dab inside the framework

People still don't want to admit that they might have gotten that call correct, but that is a conversation for another day. There are many that don't look at the rulebook, all they see is a divot.

Ridiculous.

I talked to Will after the game and confirmed that USCe Dline made and move and yelled "ready." DJ heard that and snapped the ball...that's what Nuss was so upset with.

Looks like we need to start blocking some punts.

Even if they agreed no call was the wrong call, it wouldn't change anything other than maybe to shut up some of the USCe fans who have been whining about the refs since the game ended.

Has the league office ever come out publicly and admitted the refs messed up?

that being said, was our punter lined up too close to those three blockers?

They will only do so if it is an indisputable, open-and-shut case (like giving a fifth down, failing to stop the clock, marking off the wrong number of yards on a penalty, etc.). If there is ANY element of a judgment call involved, they will stand by the officials.

I said the same thing! The punt before that one, he almost kicked the back side of the up blockers.

It was either T-Bob & Hester or Hanny, I can't remember who, that said the punter got too close to the protection guys. The whole point of them being there is so that no one can get close enough to affect the punter.

Doesn't look like it. 6-7 yards is enough space to get the punt off clean.

His main issue was it took him way too long to execute the kick.

Not surprised that they act like nothing was wrong. At this point what good would it do? At least at the end we came out on top.

I'm not saying that it's 100% the correct call, but by rulebook it is much, much closer than people on here believe. And I'll have the conversation if anyone wants to.
