He'll continue to get better through the season as well

A nearly 70% completion rate is a great start

Think Nuss can pile it on LSU's next 2 opponents including UCLA who got trucked by Indiana 42-13

The OL and esp the D has to get better though

He still has a knack for making some horrendous decisions. He should have taken the sack on the first pick 6. God knows where he was going with the ball on the second.

If he could just trust himself a little more and get rid of the ball a little earlier he’d be a machine

Sometimes he waits too long to throw and gives the defender time to close the gap in coverage

A lot of the fan base won’t give him credit because he’s white and not a very mobile QB, but he’s been crushing it.

Nuss is really good, and most years we would
kill for someone like him. LSU fans are just used to Jayden Daniels and Joe burrow level talent.

He needs to run more but I agree. A couple of those passes were really impressive. That one where he threaded the needle (forget who it was to) was beautiful.

Especially when he gets out of the pocket. He's not a great passer on the run and I'm not sure why the coaches insist on him running bootlegs to his right every 3rd play.

He played well. He has happy feet in the pocket and throws off the back foot a bit too much. That could be a result of poor line play and SC d-line causing issues

Didn’t realize that he had that kind of completion rate….that’s stellar!

4td 2int vs 6td 0int lol

Ewers has 5 TDs and 2 INTs vs Col St and UTSA. Sailed a pass over a wide open WR to the UTSA defender yesterday.

Nico vs Kent St, Chattanooga and NC St - 6 TDs, 2 INTs

That's with a lot better supporting cast and play calling.

Nuss still needs to improve and make better decisions, but you seem to go out of the way to talk him down.

He’s not a run threat so maybe he’s not perfect for this offense but I think he’s a damn good passer. just let him sling it.
