Apart from perhaps Miss Lindsey, I seriously doubt any elected official had anything to do with the Trump assassination attempt, because they know if they can do it to him then they can definitely do it to them. If these guys are protecting the fricking President, then who the frick is protecting them? I do think the elected representatives almost entirely across the board are furious about the SS, DHS, FBI, and CIA’s failures/complicity when it comes to Trump’s assassination attempt.
And Mayorkas has not been required to testify yet, who was almost certainly one of the direct architects behind the assassination attempt. And Dick, while I’m sure you’re going to do this eventually, do it tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM. Do not give Mayorkas time to prepare, tell him that he has to testify him tomorrow, and if he doesn’t then arrest him without possibility of bail. Just go on Twitter and ask “What should I ask Mayorkas tomorrow” and you’ll get plenty of good questions in the responses.

His own safety if I had to take a guess. If this is the security that they’re giving to the President which is effectively a paper tiger, then that means he has no security to speak of. I don’t blame the likes of AOC for being appalled and nervous about this. I wouldn’t put Dick Blumenthal in the Top 10 elected reps to be assassinated, but some right wing wackjob for sure has someone like AOC on their radar.

So, imagine a scenario where a GOP president start loading the DHS with his political pawns and there is a democratic president. More likely they are going to scapegoat the former director while hiding key evidence to avoid the obvious conclusion which is that the IC and the establishment put a hit out on Trump, it didn’t work and now they’re terrified he’s about to get re-elected and come after all of them.
