I've never seen a team have their first two games be such polar opposites. They absolutely destroyed Kentucky in week 2. For those who don't know, in week one they almost got beat by old dominion.
I believe they beat ODU by 5 points.
I mean ODU easily could have won that game during week one.

The qb sellers hasn't thrown for 200 yards in a game yet. I think he's a guy that we could spy with Perkins and maybe run some cover two, with the two safties extra deep to negate his arm strength and we should be OK.

I'm curious what yall think of this carolina team. Did anyone watch their game against ODU or Kentucky? I'd like to know if anyone watched both games and can give an evaluation on what was different in the two games.

You would think the scores would have been reversed. A near loss to Kentucky and a blowout of ODU but it was the opposite. It makes zero sense

It’s because Kentucky is really bad. Think of the worst Les Miles offense imaginable

Don’t overreact to that win & SC is not that impressive

So this is not a normal Kentucky team that hangs around the top of the sec until Georgia crushes their dreams?

Kentucky did beat southern miss 31-0 in a game that was called pretty early due to weather.

It’s really hard to figure out how good any teams are until common opponents start happening. I mean there are exceptions in the fact that you can figure out that Georgia and Texas are really good. My guess is Kentucky sucks balls.

I’m thinking they will run a three down lineman front with an eight man back And play LSU pass and bet against LSU run

I hope they do run a three man front. The only reason we have struggled to run was because the teams we played loaded the box. We were either running against loaded box's or not trying to run at all , based on the numbers disadvantage up front.

People are crazy if they think we can't run the ball at all . Just watch what happens if we get the numbers advantage up front

They put up 10 in the first half of Kentucky game and 13 in first half vs ODU.

If we can’t beat this teams arse…we’re in deep shite the rest of the sec schedule.

I don't think our defense is the same. I guess we did get gashed in the run game until after the big run we gave up after halftime. I think we played pretty good against usc on defense . We held them to 20 points until the last drive of the game. That's better than most do against Riley.

Obviously our pass Gane is phenomenal. I truly believe we can run it if we have numbers up front. Josh Williams needs to get the ball early and go to Jackson when the d gets tired

I know I’m homer….but I think SC might suck.

Sellers as a thrower is straight up bad, I have a hard time seeing him threatening our secondary, even though it ain’t great yet. As a runner, HP is perfect for spying him.

Their offensive line is legit bad, Kentucky got home a lot.

Their best asset is their pass rush and they’re about to go against 2 1st rounders. If they get no pressure, and I don’t think they’ll get much, Nuss is going to feast.

Nothing I’ve seen so far (given their opponents) tells me they’re great against the rush. This might be the get right game for our run game.

I got Tigers 31-10.

USC only had 13 points with less than 6 minutes to go in the game. I’d say that’s quite an improvement.
Especially against a Lincoln Riley offense.

Watched part of the Kentucky game, and Carolina looked good. Defense was flying to the ball. I know others are bashing Kentucky, but I think they have a good coach. We must win the trenches against them. Their turnover ratio is good, so we got to protect the ball, too. Not a cake walk for us.

We haven't allowed a sack all year and tbh we really haven't been close to allowing one all year. Our pass protection is the best ice ever seen by a college o line and r8nning backs. Even our young rbs are picking up blitzes .if the way they win games is getting to the qb then they may need to find a different way to win games because that's not gonna do it against us.

If they give up on blitzing and go to a light box then we have room for guys like Jackson and Williams to go off. I love the pass routes we ran against Nicholls, we should run those again instead of the quick passing gameplan we had all summer and against usc

If I’m them I’m dropping 6 or more in coverage and daring us to run. This is where I could see us slipping up if we can’t get our shite together in the run game and nuss has to pass into double coverage a lot.

On D, yeah they don’t have anything on offense that worries me. Sellers hasn’t thrown for shite, run game stats are pretty bad, Harbor has yet to record a stat. What am I missing???

Sellers is super athletic but erratic with his arm

Their D isn't horrible but I think we match up well

If lsu takes care of the ball and plays within themselves we win plain and simple

Last week's game between UK and USCe was a demonstration of two really shitty offenses fueled by 2 UK turnovers

Also Carolina hasn't gotten more than 290 yards of offense in either game

we show up, we win

South Carolina is a hard team
to figure out.

I think their offense is terrible.

258 yards vs Kentucky. Who is usually pretty sturdy on defense but still.

They scored 31 points but 7 were a pick 6. Almost all their points were on a short field.

Against Old Dominion they scored 2 TDs on drive that started within the 10. 7 yards and 3 yards.

Their defense seems legit, but also… Old Dominion and Kentucky may suck on offense. ECU just held Old Dominion to 14 points.

Kentucky only a scored 31 points on barely over 300 yards against Southern Miss

Shane Beamer’s SC teams are bipolar af. In 2022 they lost to a very mediocre Mizzou 25-10 at home and then lost to a shitty Florida team 38-6 a week before beating Tennessee 63-38.

They circled that Kentucky game because if they lost that one they were really screwed. They were obviously looking ahead the week before. Hopefully they come back down to earth again and any win is a big one for us at this point.
