Tonight was a turning point

My wife’s son Devon was watching with us tonight. At one point after one of Trump’s many tirades he turns to me and says “are they really going to eat Che?” (Che being my wife’s yorkiepoo).
Tears rolled down my face as I realized how traumatic this is for such a young child. I told him to listen, Kamala is speaking now. And her response soothed him so much he went on to sleep.
I had an epiphany, that I witnessed a microcosm of the country as a whole, and no matter what fake polls Nate Silver tries to scaremonger with, Kamala has this in the bag with her message of joy.

I was literally shaking when she took the stage. The sweet motherly energy she gives off is what this country has been missing. I could feel the healing.
