I can't believe I'm worried about the USCe game.

I thought LSU would be a much better team by now. Looks like this is going to be a very close game. It shouldn't be close, but here we are.

Spread has moved from -10.5 to -7

I think calling us a mediocre team would be being over generous

South Carolina is traditionally a nightmare for early morning games and just beat an SEC team 31-6 on the road. You’d be a fricking idiot to not be worried.

-7 still feels like a lot of value.

I can, after an upset over Kentucky and playing in front of a rowdy crowd in Columbia

Pluss gameday being there will have SC and their fans even more pumped up

That was 31 points scored off of 252 total yards of offense. They capitalized on 2 turnovers. That game was a cripple fight with a deceptively lopsided score.

What bet are we liking, the under?
I think the game kind of slows down and drags out.

Really hope I’m not spending over $1000 to watch us get whipped in person.

That score is kinda deceptive. Kentucky did everything to give that game away

Kentucky isn’t good, but USC’s front 7 is legit. And their offense improved a lot from week one to week two and took advantage when opportunities were there.
The offense is going to have to come out ready to roll Saturday and keep the pressure on them, because they aren’t built to play from behind. One thing about their defense- their secondary isn’t that great and they haven’t faced a real passing attack yet. Hopefully the OL keeps pass blocking well (the one thing they are good at) and Nuss can light them up.

I can’t believe a lot of the negative shite I saw on the score board during the game
I am not worried about it. This game feels like before Mississippi State game last year & I expect a similar result.
Regardless of all the melting this past weekend, I stand by my prediction that this team will be 4-1 heading into a home game versus an undefeated, top 5 Ole Miss team.

You should be worried, we lost our best DL to an already depleted front, our running game sucks, the OL is not living up to expectations, the only improvements have been special teams with Thomas. We are under achieving and SC has a good running game a better than average defense. At home with that crowd at 11am in the morning. LSU will probably be sleepy and not ready to get punched in the mouth so early. This game will let us know what kind of team we have. If they do not bounce back and find that grit and killer instinct this will be a long day for LSU and 1-2.

There is cause for concern.
As bad as you might think Kentucky is, they are an SEC team and USCe just spanked them. Meanwhile LSU kinda struggled on D at times vs an FCS opponent.
USCe can also run the ball a bit. LSU should be a bit worried and hopefully they ARE and treat it very seriously.

I want to see CJ Daniels get more in the mix. I'm not complaining about Lacey's touches but I just think a little more diversity will keep a lot of pressure off Lacey.

I'm not sure what inspired this confidence, other than the usual unrealistic preseason hope/expectations. We have the worst DT and DB rooms we've had in years, and nothing about that changed when we hired Blake Baker. And that is entirely on Kelly for his initial defensive hires.
