I’m still not convinced voter enthusiasm is equal for both sides

That’s something that polls almost never adequately weight.
I think Kamala voters are more enthusiastic than Biden voters, but I don’t think they’re going to be more enthusiastic than Trump voters. This makes the oversampling of Dem voters even more egregious than usual.
Thoughts?

I'm seeing more Trump stuff in Georgia than I ever have in either of the past two election cycles and we're still 2 months before the election.
I have yet to see a single Kamala sign or hat or bumper sticker. I'm not in an area there would be a ton of them but there were two houses in my subdivision that had Biden signs last election and I'm keeping an eye on them but no signs up for either of them as of yet

My thoughts are that it doesn’t matter. They’ve created the perception of enthusiasm for Kamabla, and that’s all they needed with mail in voting still being a thing. Trump can get 85M votes and lose and the general public will buy it. They wouldn’t have bought it with round two of Biden. That’s the only reason he was kicked and she was anointed.

If the illegals are motivated it’s game over

This is a great point of course. They have to make the steal plausible. When Biden was down 10 points in the polls and could barely walk and talk the idea that people were going to trip over themselves to vote for him was ridiculous. The media is creating this fake enthusiasm for her as cover for the ridiculously high number of votes she'll need manufacture to eclipse Trump's real number of votes.

You're correct. It's not equal:
quote:
Excitement among Harris voters now outpaces excitement among Trump voters, according to an Aug. 25-28 USA Today/Suffolk University poll of likely voters that found 68% of Harris supporters are “very excited” to vote for her, compared to 60% of Trump voters.

Yeah, I guess we should just stay home and not vote since it doesn’t matter.
Some of you people are such defeatist pussies. That French blood runs deep. I always thought it was isolated to sports fandom, but I guess not.

Trump campaign is putting everything into PA and GA.

Don't underestimate the Trump Hate, and the desire for women to have the option to have abortions.
The deep state is working overtime.
And Trump isn't helping himself, either.

If Biden was your candidate and they rolled out a trained monkey anyone would be more excited.

Voter enthusiasm mattered in the past because there was likely a correlation between enthusiasm and turnout. This was, historically, an advantage for Republicans. Ballot harvesting has made enthusiasm/turnout irrelevant. Democrats can now get 100% turnout from registered voters in a given precinct, legitimately or otherwise. Romney had much more enthusiasm in 2012 based on his rallies vs Obamas, but it didn't matter. There was no comparison between Trump and Biden in 2020, but it didn't matter.

I think this is a valid point, but I’ve been encouraged to see Republicans playing this game now. In 2020, we snubbed our nose and pretended like that was beneath us, while we let Dems play on an empty court.
We’re at least putting on shoulder pads this year it seems. Especially in Pennsylvania.

I think in a fair election Trump wins in a landslide

comment section on a FL Dem fundraising ad on X
Take a minute to read the comments. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of just people calling out the Dem party

I honestly think the voter turnout is going to be low for Dems and undecideds that would vote Dem
getting trump out was a mission in 2020, there was motivation
in 2024 the motivation for supporting harris and keeping Trump out just isnt there

I'm not seeing anything for federal or state elections where I live. It's solidly R here, which is kind of a shame for our house race because our rep is as RINO as they come.
Local elections are an absolute bloodsport, though.

Are you voting for Kamala?

Any 'enthusiasm' for Democrats is ALWAYS almost wholly propaganda that has as its ulterior motive to repress the republican vote.
There is practically no enthusiasm for the Democratic ticket...
