...apparently not due to a lack of effort from our fanbase. Saw this posted in response to a Front Office Sports post on LinkedIn regarding the Allegiant Stadium attendance record that was set Sunday night (beating the Super Bowl attendance):

'I was at the game with my wife and it was absolutely amazing. A big time win for my USC Trojans against a perennial power from the SEC. The teams and fan bases put on a show. We (USC) were far outnumbered in that place even though LA is only four hours away by car or a forty minute flight. I am a USC season ticket holder and have been watching SC football for over thirty years and I have never heard a set of fans like the Bayou Bengals. Like jarringly loud to the point where us in Trojan Nation had to just watch and give props. Kudos to LSU and their fan base. They travel strong.'

Indeed kudos to the LSU fans that made the trip and repped us well.

Right too bad there is no trophy for championship fanbases. We’d win that shite every year!

Our fans show up for big games. And some of them will actually stay if it’s close

And that’s why our coach gave the table pound. He knows he didn’t fulfill his end

not all big games. They never show up for any big games in Florida. We have been embarrassingly outnumbered in every bowl game played here, plus we were outnumbered 90-10 in the kickoff opener last year against FSU . LSU fans only choose to support their team in the really cool once in a lifetime experiences not always wherever the team needs their support.

Still ranked in top 25. In fact, the only team in top 25 that is 0-1. Loss to ranked team. If loss to weaker team they would not even be ranked at all. Like Florida State dropped out of top 25

We were at the house of blues tailgate. The bartender I walked up to was sweating and running around—at this point out of Miller lite, ultras, and tequila. He said “we were warned but we weren’t ready for this”
I spoke with another employee who said it far exceeded what they witnessed during the Super Bowl

I'm sure they expected a different out come.

Much different.

Mandalay Bay was extremely crowded pregame, so my wife and I went north to the Luxor and, luckily, found a seat at a bar where I could order. It was also extremely busy. At one point, the bar tender looked at me and exclaimed, "where the hell do you guys come from?". I said, "Louisiana".

I am not going to another neutral site game until we play to win at the end and not play the afraid to lose game. 100 % we should have played more wide open after we got the 4 point lead and the ball back. The personal fouls were killers fur us in a close game against an evenly matched opponent and our less than stellar pass defense. We were rushing 3 at the end when we already knew we had to rattle their qb with pressure. Just dumb shite for our coaching staff and our senior players with the PF's. Had we lost after trying to cut the head off the snake in the fourth quarter I would not be nearly as upset. Honestly , this was the same feeling leaving Lambeau Field. AAARGGGHH! BTW, the LSU fans and the USC fans were there in large numbers. Lot of dough to spend to watch us play scared at the end.

Yes, we had an awesome time making as much noise as humanly. Our small travel band did an awesome job. Our time was so incredible until we blew it in the 4th quarter.

I’m not impressed at all with Coach Kelly. I’ll continue rooting for my beloved LSU all season and forever, but I don’t see a big bright future with Kelly. Thank God I lived long enough to experience 2019 though.

Yes, I agree, we stayed at Mandalay Bay Friday through Monday, and Sunday was so crowded we could barely move. Mandalay Bay really wasn’t for us (my wife, 2 teenagers, and me). I should’ve known better.

Harris had horrible QB sense.
Instead of heaving an off balance prayer, on 1st down had a blocker in front and surely coulda ran to winning FG range with almost a minute left.
